Hard to answer this without sounding patronising. So sorry if it does. A B-side is any extra track that appears on a single. A 7" single has 2 tracks, a song on each side of vinyl. The A side is the promoted song, the B side is an extra track. So even with the advent of CDs, the phrase "B-side" has stuck This song is from the "Isobel" single & not on any album, hence many people buy singles for the B-sides.
