Been driving mine (same model too) since end of March and it’s a huge improvement over my previous Cooper S E that I ran for 3 years. Yesterday there was a big OTA update that has improved quite a few of Bjorn’s dislikes.

I think the heads up display makes a lot of sense for a car without a normal screen in front of the driver

Regarding being power user and having the Ionity Passport Power it’s a funny story in Poland (maybe in other countries too, but I'm not sure). Since we're mostly dependent on coal and our electricity prices are among the highest in the EU or even the world, it's cheaper to use Passport Power for most journeys. With Passport Power it's 2.05 PLN (5.7 NOK, 0.48€)/kWh, the base price is 3.5 PLN (9.7 NOK, 0.82€)/kWh and Passport Power costs 51.5 PLN (142NOK, 12€). So even if you're charging 50% of an EV like the TM3 LR, it's cheaper to get the highest plan.

The breakeven point in the UK is 34kWh (£10.50 membership, and charging is £0.74/kWh without membership and £0.43 on Passport Power.)

Regardless of everything else I like the look center console (finally something different) and head up display (come on Tesla and EX30).

I personally drive the 2022 plugin hybrid MINI Countryman SE ALL4 and I enjoy it very much. As a possible successor, I considered the new fully electric MINI Countryman, but because it disappoints on so many fronts, my next car will no longer be a MINI. Range is very important to me. Of course you also buy a MINI for sporty driving, but if you don't drive sporty for a while, I would expect lower consumption and a greater range, just like my current car. Bjorn's review confirms that many things can be improved. I will give some examples: larger battery, improved energy consumption, improved air resistance, improved range, standard speedometer in front of the driver (the current head-up display is an expensive option), larger icons on the central screen so they can be more easily touched, showing more information about battery percentage as standard on every screen, improving storage options between the front seats (now al your stuff is shown), more leg room for rear passengers, lower the volume of (annoying) sounds when switching drive modes, etc.

If the charging is failing so much because of the car I don't know if you should be deducting that time?

If you want a cute design, need the trunk space and are small or have no kids or kids without legs, go for it. Otherwise the Smart #1/#3 are much better offerings in this market space. Much more space in the backseats and with Rwd/awd and much better charging speed.

Looks like the interior design was made by a big fan of the German 60s scifi series Raumpatrouoille Orion, they had only round screens there.
@S_Curves3 ай бұрын
This will appeal to some. Hopefully, BMW sort out the mini’s software clunkiness over time. The screen looks cool. It’s nice that it is different. Why not round? It’s fine.

Too small, too slow (charging and software), too expensive. This car costs in the Netherlands €1500 more then the Xpeng G6. Looks nice, but it isn’t imho.

Yes, I can bet BMW safety standards will prevent the many fires that China is trying desperately to hide over there, all happening on Chinese brands who could not care less about software and testing when they need to sell you a wide screen TV mounted on the dashboard and 400 BHP for 20K.

@@sk.43821 Totally depends on your expectations. I drove 4 years in a 2018 MINI Clubman Cooper S, and for me that car was perfect for long distances. For example drove for hours on the German Autobah at speeds around 180 km/h (112 mph).

Getting used to the "user interface" of an EV always takes some time, but this isn't my cup of tea i'm afraid. The overall design of the Countryman is nice, apart from some weird choices. "John Cooper Works"? I don't think so...just some hollow marketing bla bla.

Why do you deduct all the charging problems? It is with almost every charger, so it seems to be a problem with the car.

Round circle is a bit dumb. Other more advanced cars draws circle based on terrain, speed limits, etc.

Since the first BMW Mini, the theme has always been eye-catching and quirky interior features, but with little substance behind the facade. It appeals to a certain market, and it clearly sells well enough.

I do not see the point of buying an EV like this. Bad range and bad charging speed. Rather just buy a Used Fat Etron. Better charging speed, comfort and decent range.
