Also loved that sillywalk at 6:09. It's important to get the whole body exercised when you've been sitting in a car for hours. :)

You can now charge on the New Motion network with just the app if you're a registered customer with a connected bank account. The card makes it easier, but the app works just as well. It's a relatively new development though so some people probably don't know it.

Destination billing should not be expensive to implement, even on all chargers. Where it gets expensive is if you try to make it accept credit cards and such. But if the destination charger has bluetooth or other low range/cost tech, it can communicate with an app on your phone and that app takes care of the payment. Tap on your app, confirm the destination charger you want to activate and your phone sends your CC info and approval back and forth.

Hey Bjorn... Follower from India here :)Just 1 suggestion.... When u point the camera away from you and its outside, there is a lot of noise. I think thats because of the way the mike is pointed.

Great to see your trips and to show that you can drive around with the Tesla. I was in Norway recently with my Tesla and expected to see lots of Teslas even in the country side near Geiranger, Molde etc. When passing Oslo of course lots of Teslas. But I saw very few Tesla's and even fewer other EV's and at the non-Tesla charging stations almost always nobody there. During a week I came across two Nissan Leafs going for a charge and one was waiting for me to move my Tesla. I spoke with one Norwegian guy at a super charger about this and he said that most families that have an EV in Norway use for local commutes and take their fossil car for long trips. That's really sad to hear. The guy I spoke had already been on a trip to Denmark and Sweden so he got it. The tesla chargers were well visited, but on the toads not many seen. I think the general population and even Tesla owners need education about how easy it is to drive around in the Tesla as you have also shown. I have personally during the 1.5 years I have had the Tesla (75.000km) been to Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, France, Sweden and Norway. I have used destination chargers but in many cases at hotels I have asked for a CEE outlet and they always have one in the kitchens or in the parking garage and I have charged that way. I use the local charging networks like Grøn Kontakt in Norway, ENEL in Italy etc. IN Denmark EON which offers flat rate. Almost all charging is via the Tesla super chargers. So keep it up and have some great trips :)

Hi Bjørn, I was at the meeting point in Zurich at 15:50 and stayed till 16:40, I guess you didn't make it. Unfortunately I don't have Glympse setup. I came bearing gifts for your self and your family, a selection of Swiss chocolates and Basel Lacherli. Never mind, maybe next time.

Thank you for the chocolate :) And sorry for being so late. When going on vacation with the whole family, everything is so unpredictable compared to when I travel alone. Glympse can be viewed on a standard browser.

No problem Bjørn, I totally understand. I have no time for myself when travelling with the family so no idea how you manage it and keep us entertained :-) Disappointed I didn't get to meet Wifey :-) Hope she enjoyed the chocolates as well.

Hi Bjorn. Really enjoying your videos. I wanted to meet with you when I was in Oslo in June but it just didn't happen. I should be back in Sept/Oct maybe I could catch you then. I'll be doing drive testing so will be more mobile. Anyway I had a question why do you only get 16.5kW at the hotel destination charger instead of 22kW? I have a model 3 reservation with an estimated delivery around Christmas. I am trying to learn all this stuff :)
@bjornnyland7 жыл бұрын
+ummgewd Model X and facelift Model S has the new single charger that supports up to.16.5 kW. Whereas the old dual charger supported 2x11 kW = 22 kW.
