The lawyers say that if the car creates an accident while autonomously steering and pulling over (when the user stopped responding) it's a bigger liability than if it just disengages because then the car wasn't in control. The MORAL thing to do, is to keep following the road, turn on hazard lights, and slow down until stopped. I will never buy a car from a manufacturer who chose the first approach. If the car is designed by lawyers then i dont feel safe in any of their products - because they chose money over safety.

@@tomsixsix @6:51, the bigger DS3 and e2008 have very similar numbers to the e208 (close enough you can say within margin of error), Bjørn actually tells you he thinks it's temperature has impacted the e208's result. based on this Bjørn is right no need to test the e-Corsa or any other vehicle built on this platform, except maybe retest the e-208 on a clear 19º day (if only someone has a direct line to Freyr to arrange that for Bjørn on every vehicle test 🤣)
@mrjoe123454 жыл бұрын
@Bjørn Nyland The cars‘ platforms may be identical but the cars themselves are quite different. On the outside the Corsa looks nothing like the 208; different design -> different aerodynamics -> different consumption, noise, and maybe performance. On the inside the materials are very different in the cars and their instrument clusters differ greatly. While I doubt there are any big differences in the drivetrain software, if there were any, they’d become visible during your in-depth videos. My point is: I would be grateful if you had the time and opportunity to test the Opel Corsa-e. I’m certain many others would enjoy your review too.

Hi Bjorn, since you test so many EVs, you may know the answer to this question - at what speed does aerodynamic drag become dominant? From perspective of data, the Wh/Km should remain fairly constant until the air resistance becomes the dominant factor. So, if you drive at 50 Km/hr and then at 70 Km/hr, do you get similar consumption?

@mrjoe123454 жыл бұрын
I agree with Daniel on this one, the 64kWh Korean cars are quite pricey indeed. If it’s all about bang for your buck for you, consider the ZS EV, it is really good value for money. You could also take into account the Corsa-e which is apparently a bit cheaper than the e-208.
@magnusolsson33874 жыл бұрын
Currently, Peugeot has a promo price. A fully spect 2008 in Sweden costs around 561 000 sek without promo. A fully spect Kona cost about 471 000 sek. I think nearly a +100 000 sek is not justified by the marginally larger 2008. The MG ZS EV is not available in Sweden from what I know. I may be wrong. However, the car is not in the same ballpark as Hyundai or Kona when it comes to "bling". It is a great car for the money from what I have seen.

Even ICE cars consume horrible amounts of fuel at 180km/h. Not only would dropping autobahn speeds make ICE cars burn less co2 to the air, it would also make trains and EVs more competitive. Germany has declared "climate emergency" but is certainly not acting like it was real emergency.
