4:03 I'm confused here. Looking at the way the 12V is placed, i thought the current will flow clockwise through the 1.2k Resistor/Emitter to the base, then to the 4.7k ohm resistor. But the current on R1 is flowing anti-clockwise. Can someone clear my confusion, coz i thought the source has the negative and positive terminal and convesional current flows from the positive terminal to the negetive terminal...

This is PNP transistor. Thats why the direction of base current is opposite. From the source, since there are two branches, (1.2 K and 4.7K), so current will get divided into two branches. In both the branches, the current will flow in the downward direction.

How do we know that the voltage after R1 is 0 V, couldn't it be X V (random number) so as the current I2=(Vb-X)/R2??
