Love your video! Considering BJU for my 7th grader. She used several BJU Press books at her private school last year. Due to current events, we have to keep her home and I'm looking a the online (video) version. I noticed BJU is not accredited - is this a concern? I don't ever want to create an issue if she desires to one day enter public high school or hurt her college entry changes. Thank you for any guidance.

This is a common misconception. Curriculums are not accredited, schools are. You will be able to re-enter traditional school as well as apply for college. If you decide to enroll her back into school, they will likely have her take a placement test. No big deal. And if she is college bound, all they look for is ACT/SAT score and a transcript. We are in Louisiana. I would double check this information depending on what state you are in. Each state has a Department of Education website where you can find most guidelines. You crack me up! I love your videos! You have my sense of humor. Thanks for sharing. A bonfire at the end of year, I love that idea!!!! Do you keep the work text books in tack? I did not know if I should add it to their 3 ring binder with Handouts and VLG, but then the binder gets so big. Trying to get them more independent (whole reason for choosing BJU) I feel I am holding their hands too much. I saw the rolling drawers in other video but didn't know how they were organized in there. Sorry I am so nosey. I just want to be organized because this will be a shock to my kids systems I think. We have been a little more......lazy with some other curriculum over the years. I want to get started soon since we are stuck at home and the heat in Texas is so yucky. Thanks for any tips!

Awe, thank you! I do keep textbooks, we only burned the consumables. Yes, y'all sound just like us. I love nosy viewers, it's why I post these videos. :) Thanks to the quarantine, we finished last year super early, so we decided to start early since nothing else is going on. We also like to take off from Thanksgiving to New Years!

I am deciding what homeschool program to go with for my daughter fir 8th grade. We are a law enforcement family so need something very flexible with times per day etc. What is your thoughts on bob Jones for us? Thank you. Have a blessed day

We find that BJU is very flexible. You watch the streamed lectures at your leisure and complete independent work at your own pace as well. We follow a 4 day school week to leave one day for co op. We have skipped days when the weather was pretty and done extra on yucky weather days. We take a long Christmas break. When we travel, we just stop and pick up where we left off when we come home. How long did an average school day take for your 7th grader?

On average, it took him about 4-5 hours. It was a full schedule and we made a couple of changes over the year. Those changes shortened his day a lil bit. Hope this helps. Remember, do what works for your family. When it stops working for you, don't work for the curriculum. :)
