When I was a kid, my family lived in a small, run down house at the end of a cul de sac that backed up on a gorgeous park & walking trail. This video was filmed on that same street, in that same cul de sac, at that same park.
A lot of things look different - the house has new owners & is under construction, the tree I grew up climbing in the park was cut down - but overall, it made my inner child smile to see how much of it looked & felt exactly the same.
I wrote this song about the death of my childhood, so I thought it only fitting to film the video where it all began. I hope it means as much to you as it does to me 💙

This resonates so much with me as a cancer survivor. There is an unspoken expectation to return to who you were before, but you can't bc now you know first hand how fast everything can change. Healing isn't linear and sometimes I mourn for the carefree me. Thank you for your beautiful music and your insight. 💕

I truly don't know how to explain to you what this song has done for me. I wasn't even aware that my inner teen/child needed healing - on what this feeling was, that I had going on inside of me. This has made me cry everyday for the last week- it has opened this well of healing inside of me- it has been on repeat in my car for a week now. Are you saying being diagnosed has changed you into another person? Psychology and psychiatrists can be sneaky, and not critical light doctors who treat you when you’re sick. You should try a therapist or talking to several family members and see what they think about your diagnosis. I’d give you more help but I don’t know that much. I got diagnosed too thanks to some cops. Sometimes more information sucks and it changes you. I have a lot of issues that only my psychiatrist can see (bs) and she’s got me on meds for anxiety, shakes, sleep, and schizophrenia. I don’t even know why people are saying they hear “voices”. I don’t understand these diagnosis’s I think it’s a trap
