I cannot understand how people cant see the quality difference in HEVC over h.264. It's like they're just blind or refuse to see the quality difference.

It depends on so many factors such as bitrate. Plus, not all media player supports HVEC.

Thx for new info. How do you think how long would it take for H.265 to remove H.264 from the market? At least for youtube.

There is a Big problem with HEVC files regarding importing them into the editing software. As far as I know Adobe Premiere still do not accept the 4K files (Ie. HEVC or H.265) from a Canon XF705.

Ruud Voest doesn't even take h.265 files off of iPhone and it's annoying because you have to convert

Thanks for the explanation. It's amazing how long it's taken editing software suites to include HEVC as a compatible format. Even now, I sometimes have to convert videos back to AVC and the subsequent loss of fidelity. Mind you, KZbin doesn't help much either.

Hi, I have a question. Does it give any better more quality if i shoot into h.265 and render it as h.264 as if shot in h.264 in the first place? Is there any difference in that case? Thanks
