Mr. Guinea Pig I have them all, on pc Codename 47 was good, tough being the first game in the series a tad lacking in the better things the later games have Silent Assassin was very good in story and gameplay. contracts was good, but has a visual bug on pc that stretches the screen (fat 47 all the game long) and I'm not a fan of re doing some of the missions of the first game in a slightly different style/enviroment Blood money was simply amazing, but has a anoying bug when you get a multi select menu that it skips twice when scrolling down or up, making it very anoying to try and pick a second/fourth option in the list unless you walk away a little. Absolution is good qua gameplay, but is terrible in story, and has no realism immersion whatsoever (in other words, its a nice stealth/cover shooter, and as its own title it would be a great game, but its not a Hitman game) in Absolution 47 his new personality does not match the past 47's actions, and somehow he can teleport weapons in and out of his hands along with hiding entire sniper rifles in his jacket, along with doing a ton of things a silent assassin would never do (make his clothe maker aware that his name is 47, burning down a church, fleeing from a burning hotel after somebody tries to pin a murder on him while ignoring the fact that 47's list of murders is longer then the amount of letters I used in this message.) Hitman should just stop here, blood money was the last "Hitman" game, Square Enix should not try to keep doing this as they can NEVER make a hitman game, hollywood is also trying to do there second try at a hitman movie as the trailer already shows its a huge fail as there is no "silent assassin" in that trailer as its nothing more then a huge shootout. 47 would get in and out without ever being seen or spoken to, not even needing to change outfit, he just sneaks past everybody and subdue's/knocks out people in his way, ONLY killing the primary target, preferably in his trademark fibre wire way. THAT'S Silent assassin.

The devs have said that it's gonna be like the old games, and they have already released a picture of one of the levels (not actually from the game but a drawing) and they say that, that level is way bigger than any level in absolution and you can explore everything in it (it's a bigass mansion btw). And I absolutely *LOVED* absolution, blood money was a freaking amazing game but absolution was better IMO, and no I didn't like the instinct system but I played on expert anyway, so I couldn't see through walls and that shit.

My list of best Hitman games: 1-Hitman contracts the good: Very dark and foreboding, creepy music that is perfect for the bleak atmosphere. Essentially a watered down remake of the first game. The bad: Erratic and dumb A.I. not enough variety in the missions. 2-Hitman blood money the good: Everything that was complicated in the other games is perfected here except for enemy A.I. great graphics and music though not as dark as contracts, you gettto make money to upgrade your gear, more ways to incapacitate guards and civilians without penalty. The bad: same dumb A.I. not challenging enough (ask me later as to why) 3-Hitman 2 the good: lots of missions and soo many things to do, very grandiose in scale, the A.I. actually offers some form of intellect and difficulty........... to some extent. The bad: Incredibly hard and even more so in an attempt to get a silent assassination rank( especially the MOTHERFUCKING HIDDEN VALLY MISSION!!!!!) The A.I. is over reactive to anything, weird controls. I have yet to play the first game and Hitman absolution.

Yep, the early games were also very unforgiven if you made a simple mistake. The instinct system in Absolution makes the whole disguise system easy. In the early games even if you in disguise, if you stay still long enough or act suspicious your disguise will get blown very quickly. I still love Absolution though and its good to see Mr 47 is still around.... :)

In other Hitman games you accepted contracts and had an option of ways to kill somebody in an open world. In Absolution you were on a personal mission and don't choose your weapons. Also it added instict which I loathe. However it did add cover and I admit I like that feature

I agree. I know it didn't explore the a lot of assassination ways as much (Meaning there was usually 2-3 ways to kill people) It's level design and stealth mechanics were amazing. For me some levels would take hours to figure out. That was the fun of it. Absolution took 10 minutes for all of them except for 2 levels that were very hard.

I struggle to see where in Absolution he is hot headed. His temper is never raised and he still talks in a semi-monotone trance, with a frown every now and then. If you are referring to the point shooting and explosions, that was always part of Hitman if you get spotted, IO simply chose to enhance that part of the game.

when I played Hitman absolution I saw 2 things that my favorite game had: Assassins creed eagle vision, red dead redemption's dead eye system.

Played Silent Assassin, Blood Money and Absolution. It's really hard to play the older games. I was only able to understand silent assassin's system after finishing blood money first. Absolution being the newer one makes it much clearer to understand what's going on, but the open missions on older games were definitely much more interesting since it's a type of stealth other games just don't do. They are more about stealth "blend in" then stealth "stay hidden" you know? They demand so much improvisation, observation and planning ahead. But anyway, the series will continue which is great and I still have to play contracts to play on the HD Collection :)

Things that I learned from every Hitman game *Codename 47:* your closest ppl............could also be your sworn enemies. *Silent assassin:* dont over thinking about your dark past............or you will find yourself repeating it *Contracts:* nobody know you............more than you do. *Blood money:* we only die once............so live wisely. *Absolution:* the real good action............is when you dont wait to get a reward for it.

I've got all of them apart from the first one. My favourite has to be Blood Money; it's the most in depth one in the series that doesn't go too far from the original concept, however, it definitely isn't the hardest! The hardest in my eyes was Silent Assassin, took me months to get that game done!

Absolution is an amazing game. It gives you easier modes, but the modes offered are just as difficult as previous games. Sure, it isn't quite as open-ended as previous installments, but the kills are more creative and complex then Silent Assassin or Contracts but on par with blood money.

I think you just expected Blood Money remade in HD, and you don't like the fact they came up with new levels with some more out-there methods of assassination. they aren't hot headed, not even close. Being hot headed means you discard rationality for rage and then become volatile, could count if you went on a shooting spree but then you could do that in previous games too. The problems are all to do with your own exact expectations, not the game.

Ah, you should, it is very good. You can still be very creative with your assassinations in it, although it is more storyline based than the others and some levels are non-assassinations. seeing that you liked contracts I imagine you like atmosphere, and absolution has a great atmosphere.

Yeah, you're right. The score system is quite annoying. I still maintain the exploration was more to do with experimentation. It didn't take long to finish exploring the level, it was all about the methods for me, maybe we got different things out of them. If I'm after exploration, I play open world games like elder scrolls etc.
