Reloaded was cancelled by gearbox after the assumption from it might draw more customers away from forever to the free remake. But the developers did eventually make and release a rise of the triad remake this year.

Gotohellcadz They never cancelled it they put it on hold but now Interceptor entertainment is free to make the game but after waiting so long on an answer from gearbox and working on rise of the triad they decided to put it on hold themselves so there might be a chance that it will come out in the near future.

I know Duke Nukem 3D is the best of the series but i just can't help but like Forever just a little more. It just seems a lot more creative, imaginative, and chalk full of fun where 3D was just straight forward with killing aliens. Forever let you interact with a lot more and was just crammed full of stuff to do besides the campaign. Multiplayer and Dukes Hotel were always fun to go to and play and mess around in.

I enjoyed your video. Duke Nukem 3D will always be my favorite. My son used to make some FANTASTIC levels for that game. Some of the best times of my life were playing head to head over the home network with him. The thing was, I never stood a chance, the kid kicked my a** every time! I sure miss those days!

it was good because of the fact it wasnt a crazy serious first person shooter. its what you would expect if you want to play a fun, easy to pick up and play without dieing right when you spawn in a death match game. to me it was a hell of a lot better than most shooters today, if you want to play call of duty online, get ready to dieing more times than you kill for a very long long time if you actually care to get good at the game. so to me that was a huge thumbs up for the game.

The first Duke Nukem was fantastic. When it went to first-person-view it was revolutionary in the way it had nudity but its gameplay was just not as good. The payability of the genre actually went downhill and for anybody stating that the 64 was the best version, you can be sure they never played the first 2.

No, Wolf3D wasn't also the first. It was the one that caught the attention, and the one that made the FPS genre popular (then DOOM finished the job) but the FPS genre started way before that. Check (for instance) battlezone on the Atari 2600.

The N64 port of Duke Nukem 3D was actually really decent. There is even a few things about it that I like more. Instead of that tripple barrel chain gun cannon, you get duel MP5s. And instead of putting the babes out of their misery, you can rescue them. The 64 port also had explosive shotgun shells. Other than that, the PC version is far superior.

I agree with you. Those were the best 4 games of my childhood. I’ve played the new doom (hated it) and all 4 of the newest wolfenstein games (love them). I stopped playing PC for the longest time and gamed on console but about a year ago I switched back to PC.

Sorry my bad, I know it doesn't have true room above room like other Build engine related games such as Blood and Shadow Warrior, but it allows multiple "levels/sectors" to cross over each other as long as it's not visible at the same time in 3D mode. I was just trying to explain the differences roughly. Sorry that I left some details out :)
