We did the Brassie and Black Beauty for the first two flies in our local TU Fly Tying class this past winter. They worked very well for the students and got them off to a great start. I think that in a fly tying class, the more the students are able to make their flies look like the instructor's flies the more they feel like they are being successful. These two flies serve that purpose very well. Thanks man!

Right handed, counter-clockwise, looking down on the fly, will flatten your thread.

spin counter clockwise to losen, and clockwise to tighten. I remember that because counters in kitchens are flat. So counter clockwise makes flat =)
