Martha wash was the voice of black box’s music but because her body type didn’t suit the record company’s image, - they used French model Katrin Quinol to do tv shows, interviews etc but it was Martha wash of the weather girls singingTheir most powerful songs - Another milli vanilli situation! She sued them and won! And now in 2023 it’s not original black box people!

@@89helybely true Martha did the majority of the demo’s for Black Box that they turned into actual songs - Ride on Time was a Loleatta Holloway song originally entitled “Love Sensation” where the Black Box producers took parts of the original song and pieced it together and created “Ride on time” that Loleatta got no credit for writing or vocal production - it was Marky Marky who give her the flowers she deserved and brought her back into the spotlight with “Good Vibrations” that was taken from the same song “Love sensation”

I thought she also had a great voice until I did some research on the song and the group and the original artist Loleatta Holloway. I don't want to ruin your illusions, but... The woman singing in this video wasn't even born when the lyrics were originally sung. The vocals from the 1989 song by Black Box were sampled from Loleatta Holloways's song "Love Sensation", released in 1980. Loleatta passed away in 2011.

They also shafted Heather Small btw, who - once the massive deception around Loleatta surfaced - re-recorded the track for them in the mistaken belief she was recording a series of demos for other singers to listen to. She was paid a one-off daily fee and no royalties. Essentially, these charlatans learnt nothing.
