Please point out Black owned businesses in the Black communities??? We need businesses that sell the products and services that Black folk buy? So far those businesses are: 1. White-owned 2. Asian-owed 3. Indian-Owned 4. Pakistani-Owned 5. Maybe Hispanic-Owned like (meat markets and Deli's) Many gas stations are owned by Everyone but Black folk Convenience stores and ygrocery stores are largely White-Owned or Foreign-Owned Tech Companies are largely White-Owned. White people own some 67.5 million business, while there are only 2.5 million Black-Owned businesses in America spread through the continuous 50 states of America. Show me the Black businesses in our Black communities because there are none in my area in Florida. I didn't see any in San antonio Texas either. Went to Chicago and saw Asian businesses selling food to Black folk. Where are the Black businesses? They must not be advertising. They're not letting us Black folk no where they are at and what products and services they sell!!!

@Nabor Simbor That's like me telling you to stop using Computers, because the First IBM Computer was created by a Black American whose still alive today, he holds 3 of the 9 patents of it, and his work is using in technologies right now as we speak. Also, those smartphones you're talking about would not function without certain "materials" from Africa that comes from child labor. Then there's Bill Green who owns 12 patents in this country. He is the innovator when it comes to packaging, and is behind a lot of unique things. Moral of the story is that you cannot tell Black Americans what they can use without knowing what they are contributing "behind the scenes". Let's not get started on the technology used in the 90s on Jurassic Park and other movies like Beauty and the Beast created by Marc Hannah. I can go on and on. I worked for a national corporation in New Jersey they had 6 sales positions 3 for white people and 34 and 34 everybody else mainly black. I did not need the job because I had retired but was bored so so I decided to go back to corporate America specifically this company as a sales person What I noticed remember I didn't need the check was that position's 45 and 6 sales sales positions were a constant revolving door every 90 to 120 days black people would quit. I finally figured it out they were basically giving less leads to leads to black people then they were giving to white people or white sales persons and and sometimes they were giving you the dead leads of the white sales persons as if they were new leads to the black persons so that when you were working from 7 AM till 8 o'clock at night sometimes 6 days a week and you were not making any money and this is a job that's an easy 6 figure salary your wife is wondering Where are you what are you doing when she sees your paycheck and it looks like it came from McDonald's. For me it was heartbreaking to figure it out and they hatefulness faithfulness of white people to do this to black families. I fought and I fought because the next person coming in behind me was a black woman who had just delivered a baby. I could go on and on about how devious this company was and it was the sales manager's the Tech manager and the branch manager who were in cahoots in addition to 2 white sales persons to keep black people from succeeding. Just telling the story is raising my blood pressure and if it's doing this to me imagine imagine black people across America are going through this in all of corporate America but we can stop it. If you have any services with at&t cancel it and go to their competitor. We don't have to tolerate racist behavior. Black.people take your dollars back from racist corporations

I am retired AT&T. As an employee of AT&T/BellSouth/South Central Bell, I can state that job performance reviews were not administered fairly. Throughout my career I had to appeal my evaluation. And every year I would win my appeal, but that victory would net me at the bottom of the top tier category. It got to the point that I would tell my supervisor that if the task he is giving me is important, he should give it to the white employee he is paying top money. An example is the white employee would simply write letters to the power companies relative to our joint use contracts. After it got to the point that the power companies refused to set poles and our work could not progress, joint use contracts became my job task. I negotiated new contracts to reflect todays prices. Work resumed. At evaluation time, I was told I increased the companies costs and given a poor evaluation. So I know how this brother feels. However, during my time, brothers who were executives did nothing to investigate what was going on. They sided with their white counterparts. One of the best days of my life was when I retired from AT&T.

Amen! I keep saying this same thing. If we, Black people in America, in these states and cities will stand together, and stop just taking these terminations, and back seats we can get things accomplished with ourselves. I am in search for an attorney now because I was first put on suspension pending investigation. Then a couple of weeks later terminated. All of this done without any paperwork, no phone call, or email. All this because I questioned the company's branch office HR here in Dallas Texas about my benefits. They couldn't give me an answer so I contacted corporate HR, found out that my position was not existing, but at a lower position, still in the upper management level. Corporate HR contacted the branch HR to find out what was going on. Then the different treatment started. I was a salary employee, didn't have to clock in. All of a sudden I'm told I was supposed to be clocking in, and I had to start doing it. It's a shame, because most of us as black people allow these companies in white America do whatever they want to us and we just sit by and let them do it. I am not the othough! I speak up for myself, and I'm not going to just let it go. I'm not fresh out of High school. I'm on the downside of retirement, and I'm not going to allow them to keep putting me on the slave market. That's what they are doing with us. As long as we making money for them, keeping them in business they'll keep us. But if we found they're using us and we speak up they find a reason and a way to get rid of us, and expect us to walk away with our tail between our legs. And we just go ahead and say we'll, I don't have time to do this or that, and stand up for ourselves. We just go to the next job, and settle for that. WE NEED TO GET IT TOGETHER, BECAUSE WE ARE FIGHTING A LOSING BATTLE IF WE DON'T STAND UP, STAND TOGETHER AND CONQUER THIS DEMON OF DISCRIMINATION AND RACISM!!!

Identify the individuals because Reparations prosecutions are one on one confrontations. Decision makers must be identified and prosecuted.

This is interesting, because AT&T wireless charged me $600.00 for over data usage,when it was their internet fiber optic cable that was damaged ,causing me to have to use my hotspot for a two day convention on zoom. I had to go back and forth with them to take off the charges. Finally they said, they couldn’t because the bill had already be generated. When I went into T-Mobile to order their wireless service, that’s when I found out they had locked my phone, that was bought and paid for.

Allow me to add.. I worked with a telecommunications company.. when I asked a question there was an issue, however, the two white people on my same team could work together ask each other questions and everything was just fine... I don't get it...

Yes Sir I as well worked with Ansco & Associates here in Charlotte NC and there headquarters is in some part of GA which holds the master contract with AT&T which I assisted them placing fiber optics and when my performance for a raise told me you what he didn't put in your paper work talking back!!!

@Tootie alfred this is so terrible and the expectation is that I would take that foolishness until one day I didn't. I mean they never hid it. It was up in your face like a morning face wash cloth.. I honestly do not get it.

In the 90's, when windows 95 became famous, studying computer science as a fresh woman in my first year, at the University of Zimbabwe, older ex students who had graduated with a computer science degree, came and told us that we should not apply for a job at AT&T, because they were getting paid much lesser than our their white, Indian Zimbabwean colleagues with the same qualifications.

I wonder sometimes if A.L.E.C. operates the same or similar ways. I don't think black businesses and business men are even invited to A.L.E.C. Conferences. But I digress. Thanks for bringing this to light.

First and foremost, thank God for you Martin Roland for giving these two strong fearless men your platform to expose such a heinous injustice. I commend them both for their strength and courage for taking on goliath. We all know how that turned out in scripture. The corporations of this country has a history of exploiting black men and women since its inception. Both these men are in my prayers. GOD IS GREAT and we that walk with him can not be defeated! May God bless them with success with suet. Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Steven Jackson

A friend of mine used to work for, AT & T. From what she told me about how the company treated a, 35-yr veteran elderly employee on medical leave she quickly made the decision to leave. She reasoned that if they're going to treat someone badly that's been with the company for so many years then, what kind of treatment does she have to look forward, to?

Salute to those brothers and get your money! We HAVE to use our business to elevate position ls in this country and world. The only way to win this war is by competing and through competition we have to empower the younger generation to push the race toward through competition. And changing laws to benefit us is STILL competing since laws is used to make it harder for us to compete.

I wonder whether there is not a strong black organization that can stand for these brothers.
@jeromeedmondson72382 жыл бұрын
I’ll answer that for you, NO! Most of them that could get big checks from AT&T so they are paid for. That’s why Byron Allen sued NAACP and Al Sharpton because they were paid by AT&T to come against his AT&T lawsuit.

Happy for such legal action. I quit subscribing and accessing from AT&T for my cell phone. It’s universally known that WhatsApp phone calls are free for both local and international . AT&T was charging me heavily without prior information whenever I made calls.I confronted them and they claimed that my incessant international calls were drifting into their system. This went on for a while because they had my checking account number at their disposal and therefore could just enter into it and take whatever they wanted . They did this with impunity until I could take it no more. I therefore switched to another Company and it’s working for me . I’m thinking about suing too.
