The traps we bought from you were placed with bait but not set Saturday morning by Saturday evening all the bait was gone so we baited the traps again and set them.Sunday morning we had cought 2+1/2 rats and Sunday night was the quietest night we have had in months! Well worth it.

Great job. Perhaps you should become a Pest Interceptor?! 😊

Can you screw these down to stop them from possibly flipping?
@PestInterceptorsАй бұрын
They don’t have screw holes (unlike Pest Interceptors Blue Bar rat traps!) but the Black Cats are made of a very strong yet flexible plastic so drilling a hole and putting a screw through them isn’t a problem ✅

I thought you guys gave up posting videos on trapping. I have one of these traps in my attic with over six months. I was watching your videos in the house where you setup traps around a hole in the floor and the tracking dust in the bathroom when I found this channel about 20 months ago. I was searching for solutions to get rid of rats. I've tried everything that I'm capable of doing but a year later I'm still dealing with my problem here in south east Ireland. I've had that company with the red and white van first letter r last letter l and they done the bare minimum without getting to the root cause. They stopped coming after four months and told me they can't help any more because the rats are coming from the sewer. The council flat out refused to help despite it being a council house I'm renting. I eventually badly injured my ankle because my ladder fell from under me while I had my torso in the attic. Six months later my ankle is still not healed. I have a camera watching it. I have it set exactly like you're showing here. The rodents eat the oats and leave the liquorice.. they have no interest in the liquorice The spring in the trap is extremely strong. It takes a good bit of strength to set it.

@@PestInterceptorsive asked irish water and the council to install a rat flap. They ignored me. They had a verr very minimal survey done of 1 surface water pipe which wasnt leading into my house at the front of my house snd they put a camera down into the surface water pipes in my garden leading towards my neighbours houses on both sides. They didnt put the camera into any pipes leading into my house. I told them they needed to put the camera up the pipes going towards my house but they ignored me. I asked them to put the camera down the sewer pipes and towards my house but they didnt want to listen to me. I literally begged them to do a proper survey and to put in a rat flap but they didnt want to know. Im stuck in a bad situation that i cant solve.

@@PestInterceptors thank you my problem is I don't know where I should have the rat flap installed. The pest control company that stopped coming who said the rats are coming from the sewer didn't do a camera survey. They only lifted manhole covers and took a few pictures with their phones camera. They didn't look up into the pipes they just assumed there was problems with pipes. If I knew where the problem is I could install the rat flap myself.

I recently bought a small house in France. It is a cottage built into half the attic. The other half of the attic has rats. The upstairs toilet is an electric toilet, so just a small soil pipe directly to the septic tank, the downstairs toilet is set close to the outside wall and as it is fairly recently installed, it seems fine. I think they are coming into the attic via the wide French gutters and badly designed dormer light, one made for slates rather than tiles. Unfortunately, the rats are not keen on helping me out by jumping on to traps, so i was wondering if this idea would work......... Opening up the roof close to the gutter and dormer window, for a few days and leaving food in the gutter so they are comfortable with using the opening, then one evening put powerdul industrial heaters and lights in the attic, smoke bombs and really loud music. After about an hour, close up the roof and hope that they might have all run awsy ? Thank you, i find your content fascinating and unpretentious.

No this wouldn’t work my friend. Is it a detached property? Does the property or part of the property have cavity walls? Do you notice a rise in rat activity when the septic tank is full?
