Fuegoleon's laser beam is an old one, Sol Linea. He used it on all those zombies when the Midnight Eye attacked the capital back in the Ep. 20's and Yami used "Black Hole" in his fight against Licht during the Ep. 30's.

Yoshihara (the director) is a big fan of cg, and when he did Yami's dimension slash this ep he added CG birds and used a fluid sim, and it actually worked/looks good.

Not tryna be that guy but the current arc in the manga still has a long way to go, the arc seems to only be half way done. Even if they adapt it, it would have an abrupt cliffhanger and the creator might be pressured to go faster (and we all know what happened to shows with that fate). The current "season" is indeed ending on like episode 153 or 154, and then hopefully whenever the anime returns we should get the training in the heart kingdom that we been waiting for. Everything we seen so far from the canon-fillers take place early on in the 6-month time skip, but we all know the main event is. the actual training. SO let's hope we get the training now, the heart queen said that the preparations are complete, so it has to be VERY SOON, just not this 'season' sadly. Either way, don't expect the spade kingdom war arc to show up anytime soon. Hopefully the arc at least finishes in the manga in the first half of next year.

It's Filler but not really. The Captains fighting each other was mentioned in the manga but never shown so they're doing it in the anime now. As for Fuegoleon 'laser' he's been using that ever since his first battle in the show (the one where he lost his arm and went into a coma) in the fight against the Zombie army

Yami his normal dimension slash can already slice that kamui and other elemental techniques of kakashi in half aside from that his current self in manga his technique mana zone black moon can negate the effects of kamui not to mention his equinox and death thrust as well as his extraordinary perception and almost precognitive abilities and light speed movement which will restrain kakashis movements.
