Don't get me started on modern gen gaming, Stu! I hate the massive GB updates that seem to happen every other day. I get a spare hour and think I'll have a game of something and end up just watching the consoles update! Accounts and online subscriptions are just there now to collect your details and make you a commodity. Is the GoPro overheating just running off the battery for a period of time? Or is it plugged into the mains? If it's just battery and still overheating it sounds faulty to me. Maybe why someone traded it in to CeX in the first place, they'd never test it to that length. Magic Boy was an Amiga release. Good to hear the Black Country gaming market did well. Long may it continue to be a success.

The Go Pro is off the mains the battery wont last long enough (circa 30mins +) but surely you should be able to plug the bloody thing in to record! the excuses folk come out with on the forums to support these camera's is a joke, they are not fit for purpose! Ah i did think it looked like a game from the mighty miggy ;) Yes BC was super mate, i agree fingers crossed it goes from strength to strength

@@tootyuk I don't think they were ever designed to run off the mains. The batteries are pretty poor but I wouldn't be surprised if they're made like that so the camera isn't on long enough to get too hot! I've never had a problem with mine, I'd usually get around 60 minutes from it max. Bithead uses his off batteries and gets about 40 mins doesn't he. Great picture from them though like you say which is a shame. They're just not vlog style cameras. If you get a bit of money back for it, look into the Sony ZV-1 camera. Read some reviews etc and see what you think.

@@tootyuk I hear you, Stu. As I say my experience with them since 2016 has been spot on, no issues apart from a couple of corrupt files. I took mine around America and Mexico for 24 days and it didn't blip. But I'm not using mine as a vlog camera. Have you tried running it off a power bank instead of mains? As I stated in my first comment it shouldn't be overheating and cutting out. That could be a fault with it. Only way to see is get another and see if it's a design flaw or a particular fault with your unit. From my own experience and a couple of friends who use them we've never had them overheat. I did wonder why you went that path to be honest with a GoPro, your videos are usually a good length. These KZbin algorithm chasers use them as they're catering to the 10 to 15 mins max video length. Plenty of better options suited to the longer videos than an action cam that's been shoe-horned into a home camcorder type device by influencers.

It could well be faulty mate, its with CEX as we speak, the reason i went with it is price ,convenience(cex stock it so was able to use vouchers) and the quality, see im not sold on this whole 15mins recording time excuse that should not be a factor in it, plenty of dashcams are 4k and they are fine.@@FlashbackTNT

Good to hear you had a positive experience being a vendor at the black country games market, seemed busy to me but as a first timer I had nothing to gauge it with. I purchased a game from the hidden chest stall and as you do when returning home see what the price was like compared to cex and I paid 12, cex 20 so a good deal indeed. Fob obviously did an amazing deal on something else, but that's just a given lol and gave me a really cool neo geo related piece of signage, couple of mags and a trade bundle with rxc llc, overall very happy with it, would have been good to see Japanese Scottish Alan there as I'd have had chance to look through his warez, maybe if the event returns elsewhere that could be a possibility for the future or I could battle it out at Doncaster to peruse his tubs lol I actually thought if I went to say Doncaster nowadays as a customer it could actually be too much. Not fussed about the old atari stuff, good to see the xbone though hahaha all this making you have xbox accounts is a plan don't you know, it's so Big Billy Gates can monitor everyone secretly, setup clones and when he's ready replace half the population and take over the world, that's what someone read on the Internet so it must be true hahaha raiden many people don't rate on the sfc but I always quite enjoyed it, your right it plods along so you'll get something from it, I'll chuck 50p into your patron if you do a gameplay on it and give me a shout out hahahaha Good deal on magic boy. @@tootyuk re Alan, yes your right, no good last week, didn't realise there was a table limit, I was half thinking ahead though when you said it's moving to a bigger venue and if that means trying to draw in customers from far away more then some big names are surely necessary like alan or the established retro shops to make people more up to making the journey, can't be a easy task pleasing everyone, like you said if sellers like alan were there then it's no good if it impacts such as yourself, almost a shame it's moving lol I had a boxed 32x in the boot to trade at that local retro shop to the bcgm venue but they were shut unfortunately, didn't want to go to the other retro shop that gets mentioned a lot on here as we were a long way from home but thats a good plus point for this black country area, tie in the event with a trip to the other shops in the area, old school and vintage gamer are the two shops I'm meaning btw, just don't know which is which lol

Sell some games and get a 12 mate 😝. The 8,9,10 and 11 are prone to over heating. Not saying the 12 is the exception but I've been making loads of vids in testing and it's never over heated on me so far. Just runs out of battery eventually.

This is the issue with modern gaming. Gaming evolves, changes..... I am 44, i went from cassette tapes on my ZX, through too floppies, cartridge too CD and now digital. But i wanted too get my dad a newer console, as he was playing the PS3 and 360 too s##t. Now i know a fair bit about consoles/PC and gaming. The way both Microsoft and Sony advertise the Xbox One and PS4 is an out and out lie. They say you can play your favourite DISC owned games without an internet connection or being online. That is about 25% true. Because you A. Need an account before you play B. Need too be online to begin with to make said account C. It then downloads the latest firmware, otherwise 'select games' may not work After you have followed those steps, yes.... you can in theory, disconnect the internet, but it then says.... Please reconnect to the internet, or to utilise this games full modes, connect too the internet. But in a lot of cases, SINGLE PLAYER GAMES still won't allow you too play offline, even though they say you can... It's a total lie, iv'e seen it with my own eyes, CEX and GAME have said, only about a quarter of XB1 and PS4 games work offline, and they are usually the very old ones. Just so my dad, who's an old man and doesn't understand all this, me and my brothers had too set it up, get him online just so he can play single player campaigns, that are over in 4 too 6 hours anyway. It's totally bats##t.

@tootyuk Although I hate the always connected ideology it seems to get mostly misunderstood regards having internet to play disc based games. For most disc based media on Xbox One or PS4 consoles you can play offline unconnected and not signed into an account, but just your DLC, cloud saves and your achievements and trophys etc are not acessible. Series X and PS5 i think are online reliant and they can go do one. I really dont buy into digital, or use gamepass / psnow etc. like Netflix or Sky Movies they are 100% worthless to me. I'm just glad we don't need an 'internet' connection or create an account for YT mate.... oh🤦‍♂️🙃✌️

@@tootyukYeah I get that, but im sure you could at one time skip creating a ms account when I bought my first xbox one, but tbh its been such a long time ago mate, also i'd probably already got a ms account so I may have used that. I only ever use seperate email addys for these gaming and social accounts, not linked to any banking or sensitive info, and have only ever used prepaid cards for any subscription service or downloads never linked banking. Same with Google - screw getting verified - would not trust any of these entertainment companies having my personal info as they are way to lazy when it comes to security and always getting hacked lol
