For all our non British friends... the arcade fire thing was a joke. Here the more seriously you can sound saying such a thing the most sarcastic or plain absurd and funny it is meant to sound. This is a subtlety many non brits fail to pick up on and I'm sure 99% of all non brits who just saw that think he just really said they want to be the next arcade fire. Trust me any UK band with ambition only wants to be the new of whatever they are. It's so funny how different brits and other nations will hear Isaacs words and hear the complete opposite in what he's really saying.

The state of rock is in shambles, when the only exciting album out in a minute is just rehashed sounds from already established bands/musicians. For the First Time is a great record but its like the "Ready Player One" of post rock/punk
@Borganov203 жыл бұрын
No
@KommentarSpaltenKrieger2 жыл бұрын
Although saying this is logically implausible, everything is a rehash of something in one aspect or the other. The rock legends of the past were shameless idea pirates as well, but that's not a problem. Music is an extended conversation stretching over decades where some sort of parroting is normal. And this band does add new things, so it's good. They're not really a Slint coverband or something. They just mix different influences.
