Thank you so much. I kept looking until I found the Black + Decker hand held model that I have. Like you said, it was so hard to twist off the top to empty it, until I just didn't. I thought I would break mine also. The top part to flatten it out was hard for me to open also. I saw you do it then I knew I needed to use more strength. My advice to others is, don't purchase this model. I have seen others online with push button openings. Again, thank you.
