Hello, i am new on nodewars and i have a existential question, for example i i have the limit stats cap for a nodewar, is necessary for me to buff myself with another things ?, i am asking because i not understand well how the cap works and if only works only for specific stat and we have a "way" to bypass the cap limits, for example i am thinking we can have the gear cap, but if i buff myself i can bypass that cap, can you explain me this more in deep of how the cap is applicable ?, i am a shai player and currently i hit the limit cap for nodewars but i still seying some people that have more resistence than me, and is a little bit confused for me because if the nodewar have cap, why someones resist more than me ?, sorry about my bad english, thanks for read, and have nice weekend 😊

I'll try and take your questions from the top; There is no way to "bypass" the cap limits, but having stats BEYOND the limit means you will not be affected by debuffs/ignore resistance/etc. In the terms of resistances, lets say for T1 the resistance cap is 30% - but with Shai buffs you will have 70%. Most players are running 20-30% or more Ignore Resistance, so being OVER the Resistance cap means that you will still have 30% Resistances. If you didn't have Shai buffs to put you at 70% resistance, a normal player would likely bring you to 0% with Elkarrs/Food/etc. So while you don't actually HAVE 70% resistance (since it's capped at 30%), the extra amount will still help vs. the enemy targets Ignore Resistance. For other caps like AP or DP, being over the cap doesn't mean anything special - it just means that if you get debuffed a lot (-20DP, -40DP, etc) you have no chance of being reduced below the DR caps. Hope this helps out some and let me know if you have more questions about that!

Thanks you very much for the answer, but my existential question comes exactly in this part that you mentioned, that says "So while you don't actually HAVE 70% resistance (since it's capped at 30%), the extra amount will still help vs. the enemy targets Ignore Resistance." , for example if i have 70%/30% of resistance how exactly the extra 40% still works ?, i not understand that well, because if i can still works using more than 30% it means that no have cap, so i am still a little bit confused, currently for example i see a lot of people that still buff their self before the nodewars but hims currently are over the nodewar cap, so if they are over the nodewar cap why they still buff their self, if the cap limit the stats ?, i am thinking this days and maybe the cap only affect some things and the buffs just maximize the stats that are not on the cap limitations text that is mentioned on nodewars information, but i am not sure, if that is the case, do you have a guide for that to see what buff has effect and how ?, i currently download your guide and translated him to Spanish for my SA guild, i do this because here on SA no much people knows English ( including me, i just know a little bit ) and i think is useful that information, thank you very much for read and take time to teach me 😃

@@ismaelzamora485 No problem! So in terms of the 40% EXTRA resistance, this is what will come into play if someone for example has 40% Ignore Resistances. So you are still CAPPED at 30% resistance, but the game will take away from the EXTRA/SURPLUS of the cap first if you have stats above the cap. It is very confusing but this was testing with DR caps for example. On T1 cap the DR "cap" is 311, but say for example you have 400DR and then get hit by a -40DP shred, you are now at 360DR out of 311DR which is still considered to be "capped" for T1. So you would have to get hit by a total of OVER -89DR debuff to get brought below the cap. But you are still capped at 311DR no matter what, so you aren't "stronger" for being over caps in that way - it is just safer vs. debuffs. So having extra stats does not mean you necessarily BENEFIT from them, but if you get debuffed/reduced, you can guarantee that you will still HIT the caps if that makes sense. Otherwise the caps are hard caps, more AP will basically do nothing because people don't usually run -AP debuffs, more DR will make it so you can still hit DR caps when eating multiple -DR debuffs, and more Resistances past the cap will make it so people are ignoring your EXTRA resistances. If you have 70% resistance on a 30% cap, someone would have to effectively have 70% ignore resistances to bring you to a 0% chance to resist in my testing. There's not a lot of resources or guides at all for this because it is a very very old argument/debate that hasn't really been able to be effectively tested because CC's are RNG, and you would have to test things mid-war which is very hard for obvious reasons. So your "effective" chance to resist is hard capped at 30%, you don't actually have 70% chance to resist CC's, but you also should realistically never drop below 30% chance to get CC'd unless the target has enough Ignore Resistance to affect your surplus/extra, AND the normal Resistance cap of 30%. Hope this makes sense! Just my understand of years of BDO, but it is very confusing for sure

If you're capped special evasion you'd want to run Kama + Burger + Drieghan meals in T1/T2 and you could run it in T3 as well. Reason being the 5% down attack damage gained by using drieghan. In T3+ it would still net you more damage but depending on setup it might cost you a crystal slot to cap crit rate which means less HP in T3+

Hello Rapid! First off, thanks so much for watching my guide. On the topic of the Deathblow setup, I honestly would not recommend it at all for sage. After the latest addon changes, you get enough crit rate in general to not need Deathblow at all - if you want a damage oriented set, use Stomping (Low Budget), or Crocodile's Tooth (High Budget) as this is the most possible damage you can get from a capped damage setup

Thank you so much for enjoying the guide! Always awesome to hear that it is helping people out. You are correct on the HP values, currently the cap is 4000 for T1 (3500 needed before war start since you gain 500HP during war), and 5000 for T2 (4500 needed before war start).

Incredible guide! You said extra human damage also counts to your ap cap but I really feel like when I run RBF crystals on t1-t2 nodes I do more damage. Could you confirm if that's true, thanks.

Hey! First off thank you so much for watching and enjoying! On the topic of human damage, I can absolutely confirm that human damage is 100% useless on capped content. The damage goes directly to AP cap, anything else is essentially placebo effect. A long time ago you could use human damage on capped content, but that is long long gone. You can ask pretty much any experienced veteran player - it has no special effect or weird interaction sadly. The closest thing that could explain "more damage" is damage variation due to Special Attack Evasion being 20%, or targets taking enough DP debuffs to lower their DP below the cap which is also very rare.

Thanks for watching! Stacking as much as possible HP is definitely not what you want to do. The current HP cap for t2 is 4500 (it's 5000 but you get +500HP on war start). The crystal loadout I provide in the video is optimized assuming you can hit 4500HP before war, any more HP beyond that goes to a waste

the fact that this is a 2 hours (i think, i only made it through 1 hour and 20 atm) explaining what buffs to run in a nw is honestly mind boggling. this game is a bit of a mess. it s probably 50+ buffs and items that you have to run.

Thank you for watching! Admittedly, there are a LOT of buffs if you want to be "fully optimized". For newer players, a simple church/villa/alch stone/food/giants draught works - but as you get deeper into the game, the depth of the buffs you'll want also increases. Also do keep in mind that this is made from a point of totality, you don't necessarily need all the buffs here - but they will dramatically increase your performance :) Overall BDO is a big game, and the PvP itself is a whole other level, but it is 100% worth it as this game has the best combat I've ever experience in any MMO to date. Edit: I should also note it explains everything about NW's and not just buffs, but it did take some extra time explaining (literally) everything. Otherwise it would've definitely been shorter LOL

I Thought human dmg doesnt apply to the caps and thats why people ran as much human dmg as possible once they met the caps?

This once worked a very long time ago, but sadly hasn't worked in years! Now currently there is no reason to run human damage on capped content unless for some reason you are struggling to hit the AP caps. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙏

There are admittedly a TON of different buffs to upkeep, even aside from the stuff your fairy can activate. Iirc they are working on Presets that basically save your buffs/etc, and you can just switch whole loadouts. So that will alleviate a ton of the "20 different buffs" issue which I agree is annoying

@@smallleaf8943 Yeah I'm inclined to agree. Unless you are only using Church/Villa/Giants, you lose a lot of money using an Elixir Rotation (which is much much more powerful than Giants), which is quite odd. They've made strides to increase the rewards here and there, but imo it is still not nearly enough. I'd love to have more silver for PvP in general, capped or uncapped, since it is the most demanding/intensive content in the game. Moreso than lifeskilling and PvE for sure
