I'm a watchmaker. The number of movements of this type of cuckoo with permanent opening for the dancing puppets that enter my workshop is large. All with movement devastated by the entry of dust and excess humidity that cause a lot of rust.

This is our new cuckoo clock and when it is set on “play music” all the time or “play music from 8 am - 9 pm”. The clock stops 5 minutes before the hour. We can set the time and music plays fine. And it always works fine on the half hour. It also works fine if it is set on never play music.

I inherited a A. Schneider Shoen Black Forest Musical Cuckoo clock. It looks new, the minute hand is able to trigger the little bird, but none of the dancing couples move and the pendulum doesn’t move or hold time. Is this a waste to fix . It has a sawmill too , but no. Moving action on that either.
