I love how the mechanism gets two notes out of one bellow in quick succession, just by pausing in the middle when compressing it, then pulling it the rest of the way down a moment later. Also, this entire movement is very rare. Most trumpeter clocks have the more complex movement, with two large bellows on top, and something similar to a music box drum on the back. It then plays a tune at the top of every hour, and sometimes includes a cuckoo with two wooden pipes in the melody as well. I’ve also seen versions where the horns are replaced entirely with flute pipes, turning a trumpeter clock into a flute clock, while using the same mechanism.
