I preferred part one. Part two irritated me just because Reeves didn’t get his needs met after a year, he turned into a bitter wus. His black brother was much more of a real Man than him….any day of the week.

Loved both. Thanks for uploading. Which do I prefer? Mmmmm, if I had to choose, I’d say the first one only because it set up the characters and story. The second film had more complex issues such as racism, religion (abuse of it,) used to promote war, vigilantism, domestic abuse, sexual trauma and its aftermath, the value of being open minded and willingness to communicate effectively ( express opinions as well as listening to them, not being reactionary) etc,etc. Both movies dealt with gritty, heavy hitting issues, but managed to do it without foul language, gore or nudity just for the sake of it.

Holy moly- what a flashback; I was 11/12 when I first watched these two, back-to-back; I was still in primary school (elementary for Americans), & probably saw it much younger than I should have - I had the biggest crush on Raoul Trujillo- & adored Morning Star's dress...

Dolores aka Morning Star is the Helen of Troy here. More like Helen of Texas, the face that launched not a thousand ships or a thousand horses but she did seem to have launched a few crazy horsemen. If that makes sense. Love the story of Morning Star and Running Dog. Woman went from captive of an abusive husband to being kidnapped by the Kiowa chief to finally becoming his wife.

There is a lot of great messages throughout this show like racism being unacceptable but, at 2:18 Hollywood had to slip in something about repeating rifes being an issue for "civilians" to have, ha. All in all, I love the Black Fox franchise!

I watched this movie on Freevee and I don’t recall seeing that scene. Maybe it was cut out for commercials. What part of the movie did this happen in ??

@@legadema37Wish I could remember where it is in the movie, but it’s just a few throwaway lines in Morning Star’s description of her journey. She says she hid in a barn where an “outlaw” was already hiding. When law enforcement sets fire to the barn, he’s burned out and she escapes. I think the writers were winking at the audience: if you know this is how JWB died, you get the reference. If not, no big deal; it’s not vital to the story.

I enjoyed them both but I have to say part 1 was more enthralling as it was much more adventurous and fraught with more danger yet set the stage for the deep, abiding brotherly love. If your into investigation type shows try Liverpool 1. It's good and I spent a week binge watching an Australian one called Wildside season 1 and 2. Couldn't stop watching it.
