Good job, Milly! They weren't overrated. They were fantastic! Fans of other bands get jealous. And this band thankfully avoided a lot of the political crap of the time, along with Three Dog Night. Their commitment was to music and the human heart, not to fashioning some phony self-identity through politics. Check out a Live performance, from Ireland in 2009, of Celtic Woman singing You Lift Me Up, for a similar emotional experience. Beautiful.

Rock isn't dead, here are two songs from a great young band of three sisters from Mexico, called The Warning. "Black Hole" is a power balled written and performed by the drummer (Pau 'Pow') around age 14. kzbin.info/www/bejne/on6bfJiHlNmBh8U "Choke" is from their 2021 album, and the eldest Dani is 21 and the lead singer. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqncg6GjYqxlhrM At this point they are, Dani 22, Pau 20, and Ale is 17. They are signed with Lava records, with Error being their first of five albums with Lava. They are talented musicians, composers, and lyricist. Their break out video was a cover of "Enter Sandman" from 2014 at ages 14, 12, and 9 that went viral and has more than 23 million views. Hope you enjoy their music. One last thing, their previous album is a concept album that they self released called Queen of the Murder Scene, it's AMAZING. If you decide to listen to it, it has to be done in order or you'll miss the story line. It's about a girl obsessed with someone, suffers a mental break, murder, further mental split and regret. It's an amazing feat of music especially since non of them were even 18 at the time they recorded the album. You have been Warned! Have fun, and loved your reaction.

Okay, the keyboardist Jonathan Cain, wrote the entire song for his then wife. In the video you saw him sitting in front of the mirror staring at a pic of his wife. The video is from the 'Frontiers And Beyond' documentary from 1983. The documentary not only shows what life is like on the road for the group, but it also shows the life of the road crew, building and breaking down the stage and lighting. The 'Elmo' sticker that you saw in the beginning and end, is from the Frontiers album cover.

Neal Schon was a guitarist for Santana. He and Greg Rolie quit Santana. They founded Journey. Santana, Journey and I were born in San Francisco. I grew up listening to both bands. Faithfully was released in 1983. Written by Jonathan Cain. He is on piano and synth. Steve Perry was the lead singer. The lead singer now is Arnel Pineda. Neal Schon discovered AP on the Internet! The late Prince called Jonathan Cain to have him listen to Purple Rain because he thought it sounded like Faithfully and didn’t want to step on any toes. JC said Purple Rain was inspired by Faithfully but not copied. JC gave a big thumbs up! 👍 RIP Prince. Drums by Steve Smith. 🥁 Same year, 1983. Faithfully song sounds like Heaven. Written by Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. BA needed a drummer to record Heaven. His drummer Mickey Curry was not available because he was required by a prior contract to play with another musician. Steve Smith happened to be in town, New York. Thus, Heaven sounds like Faithfully. Suggested videos: 1 Journey performs Open Arms live. 2 Steve Perry sings Foolish Heart 3 Bryan Adams sings Heaven.

The man has a honeyed voice everyone loves. That being said, these types of songs aren't made anymore partly because there aren't women deserving of it anymore, frankly. Guys have kind of caught on to how modern women are, and so we live in a deeply cynical culture now devoid of romanticism like this. But it is true that modern music just isn't what it used to be in general, much like our culture.

And, Journey is 2nd to none, when they have Steve Perry, as the lead singer. His vocals are like no other. And, normally the bands lead singer tends to lose their voice and it tends to get worse over time. But, Steve Perry's voice, has actually gotten better and more powerful than ever! And, he had to have throat surgery year's ago and the doctor believed that he would never be able to sing, again. But, he came back from the grave and shown that miracles do happen! They have a lot of great song's, since they have been around, since the 70's. And, they are still doing tours, but with a new singer, in place for Steve Perry, as he felt worn out and didn't have the drive to keep singing anymore. But, his wife got him to be inspired to go back to singing as a solo artist, for the time being. Granted, he has done some special concerts, with the band, again. He and the guy who took over for him, have actually done a duet style live show's with the band. So, I would also recommend checking out a lot of their work from the 70's to the 90's. I am sure that they will blow your mind's, with most of their song's. And thankfully, he did get rid of his mustache. I think that he had it, for a couple of year's, back in the early 70's, or mid 70's...

journey is my all time favorite band and steve perry is my favorite male singer. i started listening to journey shortly after it was formed. originally, the group had more of a rock jazz sound with a different lead singer. i thought that the first lead singer was good and wasn't to happy with the group going with a "new" lead singer. eventually, i was glad that steve perry became the lead singer as it turned out that it was the best thing for the group. he took the group from being "good" to second to none. steves voice has that bluesy quality to it. the sticker is the art work on the album that the song is on.

1983. I was 16 years and amatuer boxer. Had to run a half a mile to see my girlfriend before shipping out to go to a match in Lagrange prison. When I walked in she was listening to this song. 1st time I heard it. Always remember it.❤

You must react to any song (Faithfully, Mother, Father, etc.) from the 1981 Escape Tour Live in Houston, Texas. You’ll see why he is/was even better singing Live!

You should never interrupt a song like this. Especially to comment that the person next to you is getting emotional. Talk after please. Just a friendly suggestion 🙂

If your like Steve Perry.. May l suggest Aussie legend "THE VOICE " 'THE GOAT' John Farnham. Always listen to John live, particularly with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Listen to HELP from this concert , John Lennon said this was how he wanted this song to be sung. The other song is Your the Voice from this concert, you won't be disappointed. Freddy Murphy loved John Farnham's voice and when he passed away Queen approached John first. Nut John didnt want to leave his family. For epic soul listen to John and Jimmy Barnes sing 'Some thing is wrong with my baby'. Australia loves and adores their John.

When you claim all you want is equality but preface everything with division. “Black girls” could have just been girls listen to Journey. This song is beautiful. Have always loved it. Perry’s voice is amazing

It is very sad that nobody makes music like that anymore. I'm not the biggest Journey fan but they were a great band and have many a classic to enjoy. Great reaction ladies, thanks.
