Not sure if you did a video on them or have looked into them already but you might like the Silver Templars. By the way, on the topic on WH40K introducing cool elements and then not doing anything with them, have you already come across The Anchorite? As that one actually makes me laugh. The book in which the character is introduced is incredibly dope, though, and somehow manages to be the best Imperial Fist, Ravenguard, White Scars and Word Bearers book I've read so far. Like for each indivdiual chapter that is their best book for me.

Ok cool/dumb successor chapters: Mortifactors because they're ultramarines successors but are obsessed with death, are all cannibals and do blood rituals, one time they left the lamenters to die cuz the blood told them to. Death Specters are ALSO obsessed with death but are Raven Guard sucessors and their homeworld is a massive graveyard where it is always snowing and their chapter master sits on a glass throne beneath the crust of the planet holding back something (???) until he rots away and dies. Dark Krakens are Salamander successors who fuck with water more than fire and live on a planet where they kill sea monsters All solid

If I may suggest: Legion of the Damned They are suspected to be the lost Fire Hawks Ultramarine chapter, who, after getting lost in the Warp, seem to be displaced from time. At the cost of their bodies slowly decaying from the Warp, they have gained the ability to just show up-past, present, or future-at any moment to turn the tide of battle in the Imperium's favor.
@justinbell73093 ай бұрын
They basically do the "cavalry arrives" thing, stepping out of a Warp portal onto the losing battle, turning the tide of battle strategically, and then just leaving without a word.

Coolest (non founding) chapters off the top of my head: the exorcists - demon hunting experts who as part of there proper initiation must allow themselves to become possessed by a chaos demon and then through there own force of will expel it from themselves. The black dragons - heavily mutated loyalists from the cursed founding who have this mutation that causes there bones to grow into these protruding spikes that they use as rending claws. The iron snakes - they are a chapter who my enjoyment of them comes from the incredibly in-depth and thoughtful culture that the marines practice in honoring there homeworld and there ties to its seas.

Great video. These guys are hilarious My favorite chapter and "My Guys" are The Sons of Antaeus". A cursed founding chapter from the 21st space marine founding. They are probably the only one of that founding that hasnt had a major problem, lamenters for example. Remember they were released waaay before primaris and uaed to special codex like rules to give them an extra toughness and strength. Their schtick They big. No no. They BIIIIIG. Described as bigger out of armor as other marines in armor They show up all of them whole chapter at once. They take crazy amounts of damage thay would kill a normal marine They politely nod and leave. Mysterious. Gray paint scheme, no official paint scheme Named after Antaeus an enemy of Hercules who could not be defeated as long as his feet touched the ground Antaeus is the son of of Gaia and Poseidon Antaeus means "enemy", so Son of the enemy. Also if read the wiki of Antaeus you'll find a ton of allusions to the giant bones, names that have to to with the Rebel Legions and primarchs, and things in 3. Officially they are an ultramarine successor. "Nobody liked that." Most popular Fan theories are they are either a early release of Primaris by cawl or they are death guard related. Mostly due to how much damage they can take and how big they are. But death guard didn't get that toughness till after he fell. And the Sons sent members to the death watch for millennia, so medical personnel would have noticed extra Primaris organs. My theory is they are made using Alpha Legion gene seed. Specifically Alpha Legion gene seed captured or "supplied by" the Alpha Legion that has been tinkerer with using the findings of Corvus Corax's sabotaged raptor poject. My thought process is GW is not subtle. Sneaky and mysterious, Greek theme, Poseidon scales and serpents, Sons of the enemy, and whatever improvements they have are undetectable. Another option is in the same irl texts that explain the 21st founding they also talk about Mechanicus archeotek teams finding a lab related to it that was working on the Homo Sapien Novus project. So maybe they pull from that stock of genetically engineered people or their gene seed was developed in genetically engineered gene slaves. My other pet theories are Cawl just said fuck it and had the recruit from a population of "proto ogryn" and that's why they big bois. Another option I have thought of is maybe their process has some old Thunder Warriors "Mega Steroids" mixed into the process.

@@glueboy There's a good reason for that as there hasn't been that much of them in the canon outside the names.
