Why when I use the blackjack distributor my timing light jumps 4 degrees plus or minus when it’s blinking on the timing marks? But with my old hei it will blink steady ?

With timing control it is calculated. So it will vary some at idle due to the low speed of the reluctor ring. Nothing to worry about at idle. Also it will move around to keep idle stable.

Im installing mine myself im not a mechanic but do i just remove my hei distrbutor and just drop the efi one in the spot location and direction as the other one

15* btdc and correlate the values. Make sure to mechanically lock it out.

Does it have to be 15btc my car manual says I need 10btc. Or does it automatically adjust itself to run as needed?

The 15 is to make sure the digital value matches the mechanical for timing control. The computer has no clue where it is so we install it at 15 and mechanically and digitally lock the timing to read the same value as a starting point after that is done you can tell it what ever you want to for timing value.

You will have to get a intake that fits your heads. Also there is issues of transmission control.

What are the o rings for in the bag that came with the distributor?

For some engines that are machined to need the o-rings. I like to collect them ontop of my tool box like little keepsakes

I enjoy them. I have done a lot of aftermarket systems and the biggest thing is install and timing with a touch of proper o2 sensor placement. I do enjoy the aces products a lot of very technical things have been fixed in the system as compared to other brands I have dealt with. Feel free to ask any questions.

I just purchased the kill shot and im no mechanic. But i have an msd distributor and 6al box how do I hook it to the box to control timing if you don't mind answering.Thanks

Lock out the distributor and use the vr wire on the killshot harness then use the point wire to trigger the MSD box. There is a diagram that will help in the instructions.

Most fuel pumps bleed off slowly after key off. If the engine is hot after key off it will hold pressure long due to the fuel expansion and vaporization.

Oh that engine is eating itself. The cam don’t even cam anymore just makes metal. But I got a crate 383 ordered to replace it in the spring. We been doing testing on the fox body lately.

Burnt valve. I built up a big block to replace it for the new big block Chevy multiport testing coming soon. That engine has been on the rev limit one too many times.

Pretty close. But on first install you can be a few off then get it adjusted in with the light. Too easy. Got anything else you wanna see me film I am opened to suggestions. I got a joker system I need to put on a truck soon.
