Great video. I just ordered the same holley injection system. For a 5.3 I put in an 84 K5 blazer. I have the holley duel plane intake. And I've had 5 different carbs on it. Tuned ever which way from Sunday. And never got the off idle stumble to go away. I've taken a carb right off my third gen. 350 camaro. That runs perfectly. And it would stumble. They all ran perfectly down the road. But had a dead spot off idle. So I thought I'd try the holley injection. Glad you mentioned the MSD compatibility. I have the MSD 6014. Works great and easy install. I just wonder if I will have to install another temp sensor or if I can tie into the one that the MSD box uses. And I already have a Bosch O2 sensor and AFR gauge. So ill probably have to put another one on to send signal to the injection system. I also have a 3/8" return line already on the blazer, I hope it will work for this system. My engine is an all stock long block from rock auto. Good luck with your swap.

These aftermarket self contained efi throttle bodies are a modern form of the old chevy TBI deals. They took a 4150 style throttle body and added injectors to the sides where some even look like holley style fuel bowls. And instead of hosing down into the intake these things use annular rings with a bunch of little holes in them which gives good atomization and gets the injectors out of the air stream. And the injectors are based on the LS3 units as far as how long and wide they are and like dude said they run stupid amounts of fuel per hour and if you want to you can get the injectors from the bigger aka more expensive sniper system and install them into your deal (cfm on the throttle bodies are the same until you get into the terminator series) and after a little reprogramming your TB can support 800 instead of 650h👍. And self tune will work as advertised for everything but full throttle you need a wide band and log your data

Good info... I've been debating building a 383 from my bone stock tbi 350 in a 1988 short fleet pickup or swapping the little 5.3 I have from a 2004 Tahoe with roughly 140k but just didn't want the harness hassle. I have a 1977 CJ5 that I installed the MSD Atomic EFI on and that old engine will now pass emissions and runs great...so I've wondered if this had been done yet and looks like you've got a really clean and efficient build and have truly helped me make a final decision. Thanks for the information. I have one question and that is what you were referring to on the timing cover that I'm not aware of and didn't see updated on any of your other posts....? What am I missing there? Thank you again. Clean build. Congrats. GT

You will need something to control your timing if you're using a "carburetor" style manifold. MSD 6014 is the cheapest way to go in an application like this. If you're using an electronic (4l60e/4l80e) transmission you will need to have a way of controlling that too. The Holley Terminator X Max will control everything
