In US news and current events today, ICE stopped Bena Apreala, a Black man, while jogging in his Boston, Massachusetts, neighborhood, sparking outrage among officials.
Bena Apreala, a 29-year-old father and real estate agent, was jogging when he said two SUVs with tinted windows approached him. Apreala recorded the end of the interaction. Apreala said the officers did not identify themselves before questioning him about his identity. However, ICE disputes this claim.

The part I find the most infuriating in this video is once he’s told he’s free to go, the officer wants to inflict One last injury via white supremacy by asking him about his tattoos. He was free to go at that point, but he wanted this black man to feel violated by showing his tattoos… How do we know those tattoos won’t later implicate him in a supposed crime in the future? They could use those tattoos against him later, saying that a woman who saw these tattoos was “raped“ by this black man. Bothers me so much. Classic white supremacy.

I noticed that the jackboots didn't have any name tags or identifying badges of the agency they belonged to. Which in itself illegal I think. This is why more and more people are shouting for ICE in this from of intimidating tactics be abolished. And I fully agree..

He matched the description. The description specifically said “any black man that you see.” Oh yeah, they were looking for a Haitian man that had previously been deported, so they actually had a photo on file, not just a description to go on.

What ever happened to our Bill of Rights?!? “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.” I guess this hast mattered probably since it was enacted, especially if you aren’t white. Just think how bad it would be if we didn’t have the Bill of rights!

Someone who works with my mom was taken by ICE despite being a citizen all because they were Mexican, and the most heart breaking part is he had to call his job crying and begging not to lose his job because they weren't going to let him go soon, and their job has a harsh no call no show policy.
