People that say they're sorry are people that have been caught in wrong doings. Too often too little too late. Because people think saying they're sorry will fix the problem. Because they show their true colors when they don't know who they're dealing with. And I'm not talking about the outside of the person but the inside of who they are and what they stand for. Kindness cost nothing. But rudeness, disrespect and bullying will cost you everything. It's like I teach my kids. Good behavior deserves good rewards. Bad behavior get nothing but troubles. This fits all ages What lies spawned in darkness will always circum to the truth of light

A few years ago, I went to a sort of grill restaurant that looked a bit busy. I knew I wasn't going to get a table but I thought I would just ask. I went to the front desk and asked. The waitress there said very rudely ''Sorry but we are full tonight'' in a tone that I didn't like. I thought the way she spoke to me was disgusting and uncalled for. I lost my appetite at that moment and walked off in disgust. I then went to another restaurant (which was a Spanish Tapas Restaurant) a few doors away. I went inside, they too were relatively busy but then a pretty waitress showed up with a big smile and asked ''Hi! Would you like a table Sir?'' and I was like ''Sure''. And she sat me. Excellent service that night, food was excellent and it came quickly. The waitress checked repeatedly to see if everything was fine. Felt welcomed and valued. You go where you are valued and wanted. That's exactly what I would have done had I been Jamal.

Plot Twist: The waitress is still a racist. She only apologized to Jamal because he was inexplicably willing to help her keep her job, despite her spending the entire video demonstrating how she SHOULD be fired. In addition to her bigotry, she's also apparently dense enough to where she's making a habit out of allowing customers to dine and dash.
@Zurround2 жыл бұрын
Racism is very ENGRAINED and usually does not go away because of ONE nice experience. In the TERMINATOR movies Sarah Connor hated Terminators and even though ONE of them was nice to her and saved both her and her son's lives in the 2nd movie and she DID make an exception for him and felt some genuine affection for him it did NOT mean that she liked them as a rule. She could just assume that ALMOST all black men are bad news and she just got lucky and encountered the rare exception. She is no more likely to automatically trust the NEXT black man she encounters than Sarah Connor is to trust the next TERMINATOR she meets.
@j.woodbury4122 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I was expecting the black guy to turn out to be the owner of the restaurant who was undercover and fire her for her racist attitude.
@vinaymulukutla3582 жыл бұрын
@@Zurround I'd like to share some additional thoughts. Sarah Connor hated Terminators because the first one killed her friends and most of all tried to kill her and on top of that, nobody believed her afterwards, not even her own son. Plus Kyle Reece who she loved didn't survive because he sacrificed himself to blow up most of the Terminator. So when she met the next one who was there to protect her and her son, she was extremely distrustful based on how her life got ruined by the first Terminator. That's justifiable and legitimate and anyone would fear someone who just like the one who did them wrong. There is no excuse for racism because the prejudice and hatred is unfounded largely. It is based on ignorance and incorrect ideas but unfortunately it is taught and if a person grows up believing that, it is very difficult to unlearn it since it becomes part of their belief system and as you say, one nice experience won't undo that.
@vinaymulukutla3582 жыл бұрын

The black woman serving us tried to calm the group but eventually said we should leave for because it was getting bad. All people/groups can be good or bad. All lives matter. Life Lessons with Luis, I agree with. Not so much with Generation Hope. I don't really have an issue with Generation Hope's videos. The only problem with them is when they put out a video with two or more parts, you have to wait forever for the next part to come out- if it does ever come out. Like the video they did about the racist cop who made a wish in a fortune teller's booth to get rid of all the black people. The fortune teller told her "Let me tell you what you've gotten yourself into, and what demon you just released". That was several months ago and they still haven't put out the next part, and at this point, I really don't think they're going to. Plus, I thought there was going to be another part to the story about the evil foster mother who tried to sell that girl. That one came out last year and so far, not a word. When Dhar Mann puts out a two part video, they release the second part the very next day. They don't make you wait six months or a year or say they'll release the next part when they reach half a million subscribers.

For years I would say (in terms of people) "I don't see color." Then as one gets older one realizes that they absolutely DO see color, but it doesn't really matter. I've dated white men, black men, Asian men, etc. It simply does not matter. If, no matter your skin color, you are a nice person, then we will get along quite well. If you are an asshole, then no. Decades ago it was made against the law to refuse service to people based on ethnicity because so many businesses especially in the Southern states refused to serve African Americans. Can't the law that any business can refuse service to anyone that those signs exemplify just be used? Simply point to the sign if someone with the wrong ethnicity walks in and its a big legal loophole against the anti discrimination laws?

That's why I like that we can leave a comment about restaurants online, I would have definitely given this place a half star and remarked how rude the staff was. Karma always comes when you treat someone bad

I experience racism exactly like that in Israel while on vacation in 2004. I tried to buy some batteries for my digital camera. Fortunately an American tourist brought me some batteries. This Jewish merchant waiting on everyone except me. The food in Israel is the best food I have ever had.

This woman judges a book by it's cover. She learns a good lesson. We should all learn from this video and be kind to all humans regardless of the color, race etc......

I'm glad this woman learned a very important lesson...Black people aren't all alike even though we've been stereotyped for years and this foolishness is running rampant to this day, this woman was so baffled when this nice guy offered to pay the bill of the other guy's meal(even though he stole it), he still let his light shine in the midst of the brief darkness he just went through...now that's a GREAT example of how Christ-like people(Christians) are suppose to conduct themselves...Blessed Are The Pure In Heart, For They Shall See God(Matthew 5:8)

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for another blessed and marvelous day. Today, we can get through anything knowing that You are beside us every step of the way. We thank You in advance for opening doors for all who need jobs, for healing the sick, and for keeping us and our loved ones safe from all harm, seen and unseen. We are depending on You, knowing that our help cometh from the Lord. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
