According to Theravada lore, Mitteya Buddha will ascend to Buddhahood after the apocalypse that will wipe out the majority of the population. That means Mitteya Buddha will not save living things during the apocalypse since he would not have become a Buddha yet. Celestial beings and devas will try to save a few people with good karma, but they will be powerless too. We, Theravada buddhist believe we can only save ourselves in that apocalypse but if we have vajra (bad karma), we won't escape too.

Buddha are not gods. They are beings who have achieved nirvana or Enlightenment through many reincarnation of cultivation. When one has got rid of all affliction, they will not be reborn again and achieve Buddha hood. One of the universal truth is all things are impermanent. So Buddha will perish too one day. To be fair though Buddha being literal holding the world in his palm, is stronger than a lot of depictions of gods. Though that is specific depiction due to that which pushed that same kind of thing. Also possible case where JTTW was a piece meal story to start which is why Wukong often forgets what powers he has( even in one case forgetting he can see through disguises) Or in simple teems yes Buddha in JTTW due to wisdom and understanding is much stronger than the gods, Wukong is stronger than most of the gods and is nothing before the might of Buddha.

Hollywood movies usually like to mimic that regional accent to be more "authentic", but if the characters were speaking in their native language, they aren't supposed to have foreign accent. For period pieces, British accent would fit the best, which the movie Gladiator used, but not English with "Roman" accent, American accent would be too modern, say in the last duel.

Buddha is the highest tittle of a group of Indian originated deities (where there are even other groups of deities of other religions). There is no evidence of how strong a Buddha can be but the Siddhartha Gautama (The Head Budda in TJTW) is only about 2500 years old so he is much younger than Eastern Taoism Higher Gods, only equal to Erlangs or Nezha in term of age. So can’t really compare. Of course Buddism also have Elder Buddhas who resides in Budda Divine Land. In mythology, there were as many Buddha as stars on the sky. The Buddha you see only the ones came to enlighten you.
