there is also a defense curio on the road to longevity if you head left and kill a glowing green giant, it greatly increases defenses and damages enemies that his you. That’s what the wiki says at least

It's called the Goldspikeplate. It gives around 30+ defense and damages enemies when they hit you. Go left from the Longevity shrine until you find a giant enemy walking around. I got it on the first try, but I read it wasnt a 100% drop rate so you might need to farm him a few times.

Ashen Slumber doesn't let you turn into the third prince, it lets you turn into the two-headed rat the third prince is the other guy, he left before the kingdom turned into rats

Just a little lore correction, the friendly NPC in the cell in Pegoda realm is actually the 3rd rat prince.The rat you defeated was his personal guard or something.

There is also a hidden Gourd you get from the Horse guy you met in Chapters 1 and 2, it gives you frost resistance and a full heal on first sip, it was near the Non Void Boss If I remember right, it was near a big courtyard area with a lot of enemies he was chilling in a center ish building in there,

I didn't meet a horse guy in chapter 1 at all. Where's he located?

@@Chromelium by the village entrance. He is in the same place you get the earth wolf spirit or whatever its called. There are like 3-4 rats on the roof that shoot at you and one has a spirit you can absorb. You do have to talk to him in ch. 1 first tho.

Yup instead turning right to go up to the un-void fight, go left and if you have talked to the horse guy the two other times, he should be there. There is also a pill there.

The horse guy in chapter 1 is hanging out in a cave somewhere in the serpent forest area, or just before it maybe. When you are at a shrine looking through travel destinations, keep an eye out for the little white figure to the right of the name of the area. In those sub-areas of a "zone" (I guess lol) there will be a silhouette face of which NPC is in the area of that specific shrine. Not sure if the horse guy will still be in chapter 1 after beating it but after you talk to him in the cave, he disappears and then you see him again tied up in chapter 2 past all those rat archers or if you go right (facing that gate) you can loop around the whole area to where the earth wolf is and talk to the horse first, then not have to face the rat archers head on. It's crazy how much there is to miss in this game. I dislike having to see spoilers to not miss huge secrets but I may just stop caring after these chapter 3 secrets, making multiple playthroughs more valuable with more surprises at just how huge this game is. Pretty fantastic journey!

You can find the Legendary Flask/Heal/Drink BlueRidge Romance on a rock in the middle of the lake directly left to where you talk to the treasure hunter for the first time . Starting stats heals 36% health and moderately increased movement speed . Upgrades will heal more

I am still recovering from the vanished optional boss on chapter 4 and just saw I’ve missed one more in 3. NG+ it is 😢 By the way, for the boss in chapter 4, without major spoilers, it’s in the secret area, when a guy asks for you to retrieve a thing for him, do it before even entering the main boss place, otherwise he will disappear and you’ll miss his fight.

Yup chapter four. You’ll come to a shrine, there will be two paths. An open field and a stairway. Go to the stairway first.

Also if you defeat Yin Tiger in the Painted Realm (Riyu Scroll), talk to him again you'll get an option to equip a 3rd curio slot. Beat him again on NG+ and he'll give you your 4th slot. I think it stops once you get 5 slots?? Idk

I haven't been able to find info anywhere online, but there's a mini mushroom boss in ch5 ashen pass 3. Right next to a shrine. Where you can get the purple lingzhi seed cause I thought it was a random drop like other seeds. Kinda annoying tbh lol.

Beating blacksmith also gives third curio slot and a fourth one if you're in ng+ There'll be an option that says Equip More Curios in his Menu after beating him I thought you would mention this but I guess for some reason didn't so here you go

Even when the npc disappears the bat will still spawn, I defeated the non-white and came back here I found the interact and the boss spawned but the npc wasn't with me for a different cutscene

The blacksmith fight is the cheapest fight so far. I havent had as many issues with being out of range watching the sword miss me then taking damage seconds after until kowm this is like the final boss in elden ring dlc where the hit boxes are bigger then the weapon. Besides the lake dragon where i was clearly to the right and just would appear in the dragons mouth.

Some of his sword swings have an added wind attack after the swing. His attacks are delayed so you can always play it safe and double dodge his swings until you figure out which ones have the follow up wind attack

People should know; if you do not return to the fox spirit to get the curios, you can keep the fox transformation. I know i used the fox transformation even when i was jumping between chapters to finish stuff. Once you complete the quest you lose the transformation for the curios.

Worth noting that the turtle tear cutscene actually drops the "Turtle Tear" soak item, which recovers mana if you use your gourd while at full HP, and after challenging the black smith you not only get the transformation, but also unlock a third curio slot!

There was a whole bunch of stuff you missed. When you fight the bat on the shoreline there is a path that leads up the mountain. Follow that path until you drop down a small ledge. Turn right and you travel up the mountain through a cave. At the end of the cave, there is an open area with a gazebo where you will find a child like Buddha. There is another quest where the chubby fat kid sends you up the mountain to find 4 Buddhas. Once you pray at the 4 Buddhas, another path is opened up the mountain that leads to another boss fight.

Chapter 3 felt like a Great Filter for me. So many difficult mechanics in boss fights. I had to respec a few times for a proper victory. This game makes Elden Ring feel like Candy Land. I couldn’t complete this game without guides like this.

You probably talked to the hidden NPC in the rat village. He’s the one you talk to outside a house who warns you about the 2 headed rat. If you do that before ch3 the Third Prince Kills him for you
