That's how you design a perfect final boss fight. This one is not extremely hard, at least easier than the last hidden boss Erlang. But the pressure he deliver is just at another level. All these moves are not dealing physical but mental damage. Even you defeat him you feel like a child just passed his teachers test.

"Perfect boss" ?? What are you talking about, this guy was insanely hard... I spent more time on it than 3 other hardest bosses combined. Not sure why, but in my game this one was by FAR the hardest. Too many animations that are hard to doge. I play on PS5 + Projector so that might be the reason, but this boss was the reason game dropped HARD for me, and ending (without secret ending) is barebones.

I think that's a reaction a lot of people have because he doesn't just permanently take it away. Takes 1 swig (which from the looks of it actually uses up a use), heals a bit and gives it back. Makes people think "Oh that's pretty funny." instead of "Are you kidding me??" had he just permanently removed it.

That might not be it exactly since if you upgrade your brew you can get, for instance, Monkey Brew (and something better, I haven't seen it yet) which Wukong did like very much. Maybe he was jokingly surprised that you would just straight up chug alcohol during combat :D Especially since he doesn't stop you first 4 or 5 times and only after that he finally decides to take a sip himself IIRC

Wukong also has another name: the Monkey King! He is the king of all monkeys, and all monkeys are his juniors in his presence. It’s clear that he didn’t use his full strength in battle; he was testing whether the destined one had the ability to earn his respect while also guiding his juniors. From Wukong‘s personality, it’s evident that after taking a few hits, that guy always takes a sip from the gourd. He definitely has to try and see what that thing is!
