The erlang Shang ending is the secret (true) ending. You have to beat all the secret quests to face him, then you go fight wukong

There's 3 endings. 1. This ending, defeating The Great Sage's Broken Shell before defeating Erlang / secret ending. 2. Secret ending, defeating Erlang in the secret boss area. 3. True ending, defeating The Great Sage's Broken Shell after completing the secret ending. You can do them in that order, as you're able to fight The Great Sage's Broken Shell again
