One thing I've realized is more and more I see newer consoles, the more I want older ones. Which why I like the Wii, and especially the Wii you got. You got that special Wii in-between production cycles where Nintendo still had Gamecube compatibility in their systems with the release of the Black Wii. You can tell it has Gamecube compatibility by the style of the Wii. Vertical Wii is best. In my opinion, this console is the best all-in-one Nintendo had to offer.

All serious gamers love the original Wii thanks to it's ability to play GameCube games and the Virtual Console. I play Project M on my black Wii almost daily and I really appreciate the fact that Nintendo reissued the AWESOME GameCube controller.

Adrian Alob If your Wii doesn't have the controller port then it's not one of the backwards compatible models. Perhaps that's your issue?

Yes it does. Sadly this model is no longer available in stores. All Nintendo Wiis no longer support Gamecube :(

Most black Wiis have horizontal labeling and remove GameCube compatibility which makes it better for me. And they costed less. And the Wii U primary color was black.

Well, to be honest, I don't think that I can truly pick one. I LOVE achievements and the 360 is the premier console to talk to people and play online. The Wii has some really amazing games on it that people really neglect becuz people think that the Wii is just a kid console. The PS3 has the best graphics in my opinion and some very great console exclusives so I truly cant pick just one. I hope to get a Wii U at launch as well and good luck getting one. :)

Now one of my cousins has a son who will be turning 10 in September, and he's BIG into Mario. He's already got a Switch, but I also got him a Black Wii off of eBay. Well, I mean its really up to you. I love Gamecube and sadly had to get rid of mine so thank goodness I have my Wii to still play Gamecube games. If you really enjoy Gamecube I would say try to get the original one, or maybe u could just try to find a Gamecube for cheap. Good Luck with whatever u do :)

@MultiBlackout2010 I got a Kinect for Christmas, Im not quite sure yet whats better. You can't really compare the Wii to Kinect though, Kinect is an add-on for the Xbox 360 where Wii is its own console. Kinect will always be just motion control where the Wii has motion control AS WELL AS they have a good library of games like platformers, shooters, shoot-em-ups, rpgs.....and so on and so on. lol
