Ok i don't like the way how you use the DSR, so I decided to tell you two classes that i like to run with the DSR. First: for Quick- and Hardscoping/Sniping general (i don't quick- or hardscope only so it's a good class if you are not too focused on one of these two things) Primary: DSR-50 w. FMJ & Fast Mags Secondary: FiveSeven w. Long Barrel or FMJ Perk 1: Lightweight Perk 2: Fast Hands or Scavenger Perk 3: depends on you :D Lethal: Semtex, C4 or if you like it, Tomahawk Tactical: Flashbang Cards: none The second class is a fun class but I love to use it (got two merciless with it so i think it's not that Bad) Primary: DSR w. Acog, FMJ and Fast Mags Secondary: FiveSeven w. Long Barrel or if you want grenades, no secondary Perk 1: Lightweight Perk 2: Fast Hands or Scavenger (depending on if you use grenades or a secondary weapon Perk 3: depends on you, again :D Lethal: Tomahawk/None, if you want a secondary Tactical: Flashbang/None, if secondary is prefered Cards: Primary Gunfighter So i hope you like these classes, and even if you don't believe me, the Acog class can be helpfull on maps like Express & Nuketown.

I'm not Drift0r, but I do have some tips. Put on variable zoom, dual band and ballistics CPU first. Then go in and out of matches until you get standoff or turbine on DOMINATION. On standoff go in tallest of the overwatch buildings and shoot everyone who goes for flag B. The dual band will help with the smoke the enemy will throw down. On turbine go pretty much anywhere that gives a view of the map and put on the bigger zoom with variable zoom. Bouncing betties and a sidearm help as well.

Blackstar Nope. The XPR-50 is the Barrett equivalent. They're both Barrett equivalents, actually. The DSR is the M95 equivalent and the XPR is the M82/'Barrett .50 Cal' equivalent.

a solid class i have found for the dsr 50 is: the dsr 50 with zoom,ballistics cpu,and fast mag or extended clip (primary gunfighter wildcard) no secondary, danger close with either a bouncing betty or claymore. and then cold blooded and blind eye. the perfect stealth class! (if you want a suppressor/silencer than replace the fast mag with it)

Using Laser Sight and B CPU on snipers is best for quick scoping. Even though the Laser does not help that much, it does increase return to center speed so for quick scoping that is key, that and the CPU helps with sway and when you ADS you can drag scope easier.

Drift0r, something you may not have noticed is hands are considered a different body part than arms in BO2. It's a 2 shot kill to the hands with the DSR-50.

I loved the DSR-50, because of the high amount of damage done when you aim at the waist or higher. What I discovered, the Variable Zoom helps a bit at QSing. My personal favourite class setup for the DSR-50 is: Primary: DSR-50 with Dual Band, Extended Clip and Variable Zoom Secondary: B23R Extended Clip Perks: Lightweight, Toughness and Extreme Conditioning Lethal and Tactical is not needed.

Don't use the silencer with it - I found out that it is useless in Core Mode, you mostly get hit detections.

You could try sticking in a Dual band and smoke grenades. Also, play in objective mode (i.e. Demolition) and watch the objective from somewhere you are safe. Try to know how spawns work too, that can help a lot. It worked fine for me with every sniper, including the SVU and now I'm rocking diamond.

I agree with 1 things that you said about quick scoping. It's not how a sniper should be used. I used to hate quick scoping till I learned how to do it. Now, I find it really fun and enjoyable. I normally use the AN 94, but if I die by a quick scoper, I pull out my DSR. It is very possible to quick scope and be a team player.

When I play with the DSR-50 I give it the ballistic cpu and the FMJ, my secondary will be the Remington shotgun with the long barrel, I hold the bouncing betty and the the tactical insertion as equipment

Balista is if you want to have the faster ADS and a slightly bigger clip. The DSR is for sniping however the f**k you want with the most damage and wall penetration. The DSR with FMJ can penetrate the concret walls on "Ima try it out" and still OSK.

The ballista is easier for quickscoping because the aim down sights time is much quicker compared to the DSR. The DSR may get less hit-markers, but it's significantly slower than the ballista. If you're a good quickscoper than you could probably work with the DSR, but ballista is just a whole lot easier.

If you like perks, get a a lot of those, don't get any lethals (so you don't accidentally get a kill with one). Also no second weapon so you won't swap to pistol when someone is close range.

That's because laser tightens spread (hipfire box), which means that the aim-assist has a larger range. It was explained in one of the episodes.

I prefer variable zoom for different reasons. When I'm looking around a big area such as turbine, I have more ground to cover when i'm at a closer range zoom. If I see someone pop up within that larger line of sight, i tend to aim faster towards that area and zoom out closer to them. It tends to work better for me

heres some useful advice- besides camping in a room, u can quickscope. The one tip for quickscoping, is to stop and shoot, very simple. Practice in combat training, work your way up the difficulties, then try it in online a while. you will get the hang of it, then once your reasonably good then it won't be too hard. However don't rush full on, let the enemies come to you. P.S never ask for help as a noob on the internet, it never ends well.

Best SnD class. I use it in League Play, not in pubs. Primary: DSR - Thermal, whatever attatchment you want. Secondary: Skorpion - grip or whatever you want. Lethal - if you didnt an attatchment on the skorpion and second on dsr Tactical - smoke (thats where thermal comes in) Perk 1 - Doesnt really matter Perk 2 - Doesnt matter Perk 3 - Awareness is recommended for the blind spots, but not required for the class.

It is because of the body multiplier. Each part of the body has different values. Lets say the chest multiplier is 1,2x so 98*1,2= 117,6 damage dealt. That is what makes it a one shot kill. Legs typically have 1x multiplier so you deal 98 damage to the legs, so it is still a 2 shot kill. :)

Is it a semi-automatic rifle(fire as fast as you pull the trigger) or bolt action(you have to recycle a bolt like you do in Call of Duty Black Ops 2)? Are you sure that the penalty is so miniscule for equipping a silencer? Every other source I have seen says otherwise, as does my personal experience. And you also said the Ballista and XPR do get penalties for having the silencer equipped... Again, everything I have heard says otherwise, as does my personal experience. Personally I think you're wrong, in the quickscoping department. For some reason, the DSR seems to be better for quickscoping. I've tried both, extensively, and I don't know what it is...But the DSR kills more. It doesn't get as many hit markers, and it hits more.

With my Sniper classes in BO2, I’m always at that point where I can’t decide which Pistol to take with me. I love both the Tac45 and the Five Seven. Which is again, a hard decision because the Tac45’s damage and range is really good, but the Five Seven has double the capacity, and less effective range. At the same time, I don’t like dropping my pistol for a weapon from an enemy I just killed...so if I can live long enough, I’m usually afraid that my Tac45 will run out empty unless I’m using Scavenger. So the Five Seven takes that fear away a little bit, because Scavenger isn’t really practical for a Sniper class anyway.

If you're finding it hard getting bloodthirsties, make a class with over-kill, and for the primary, set it as a PDW or MSMC, and get 4 kills. Get the final kill with the DSR. It's how i got my Ballista gold. Good luck. :)

Like the SVU (it does what, 70 dmg at all ranges?) he's stating the MINIMAL damage this gun will do to the specific zones outside the 1HK areas. Unlike the other guns, snipers dont suffer from dmg drop over range. This gun in particular is different since it's a 1hk anywhere xcpt legs period, so he's stating it deals AT LEAST 98 dmg if it hits OUTSIDE the 1hk zones. Otherwise, I had to think about that as well X3 why say 98 dmg if it's a 1hk? So technically, outside those zones: 100+ to 98 dmg.

I play split screen with my little and his whole way to prestige master he used the DSR 50 alot long the way and he would only get hit markers every blue moon and I would always point it out because I would always notice how rare that was. Compared to the Ballista which is my favorite lol.

Actually, the DSR-50 does exist. It is a modification of the DSR-1 chambered in .50 cal rounds.
