For the Max Strength Build I'd consider running one less gobbo. A bench is nice but it's one less goblin taking a potential MVP. Add bench gobbos later.

This was my biggest positive surprise of BB2020, they actually look exciting! Slower than Lizardmen, sure, but Black Orcs actually have starting skills (more important with the new redrafting rules), get a cheaper all-muscle starting roster (good to get those MVPs on the right people, and again important for redrafting) and they get better fouling (reroll argue with ref, cheap bribes).

I like the max strength build as brawler will sub for a re roll. I think brawler will make a random basic skill up for the Troll plausible.

Im going full max strenth with that team less stat ups make st4 + a lot more dangerous I think chaos renergade would be an intresting roster to look at next

I think the Brawler skill will serve this team well from 1000-1400 TV. These black orcs will level up so much faster than saurus or other players in their weight class.

I massively agree! Allows you to take the 2nd/3rd choice skills of other Blockers immediately!

I'll try this max strength build tomorrow (I did this build without even seeing this vid). From what I seen when I played solo to try the team, you have no second chance if a runner goes in your backline, so I believe it will be totally stupid but not so efficient

I really like the idea of this team and I'm looking forward to playing them, I'd consider going max strength straight out the gate and just trying to bully other teams, I do think scoring is going to be hard with the lack of speed, but gaining all that SPP on the Orcs and Troll is almost essential, and having 7 out of your 11 or 12 for MVP isnt bad odds

This team seems massively stronger than the Imperial Nobility team that is also in the starter box. They should at least have equal price for the team re-rolls. I am a complete beginner of the game, so maybe there is some nuances that I am missing?

Max Strength is absolutely the way to go. The difference between 2 and 3 rerolls isn’t a ton if you play smart, but that strength will cause damage and give you the chance to level up all the key players more quickly. Any veteran player should be able to manage just fine with 2 rerolls.

Honestly, Brawler has played out even better than I thought - so I think if you save those RRs for the ball etc, you'd be just fine!!

I have 2 of these Orruk Megabosses from AoS as „Trolls“ both for my standard Orc team, ans well as now my Black Orcs! They are fantastic!

Hey, i really love the new black ork team. My first choice was 6 black orks 1troll 5 goblins 2 rr. But i think to start just with 5 black orks and troll and 3 rr is the way to go.

Hey Seb87, ohhh it's going to be tough! I think if you're after top efficiency, then the 5/3 build is the right one... but if you're happy to end up mid-table in your league for the first season then the 6/2 build will be very entertaining :D

Ohhh it's definitely worth considering! The only extra thing to consider is that where the team costs have been altered slightly and the fact that FF doesn't add to TV - means a lot of starting teams will be at 960-980, so you'd have to budget hard for that extra bribe!

@@BoneheadPodcast right! FF not counting makes it even better. You can fit: 5 black orcs, 6 goblins, 3 rerolls, and 6 FF for 960 to start a league with the bribe as you only count as 900 TV and get 30k+ after the game. You might even have enough to get an apothecary and a gobbo, or a black orc. But that might tank your chances of a bribe in games 2-3.

The all strength build is tempting because of Brawler, your line will be hard as nails. The good thing with Brawler is that it does not become useless once you have block. So would reckon, Guard, Block as first skills as first skill ups for the Black Orcs. Mighty Blow seems like a good idea but without the movement you can't really make sure he gets a block/blitz each turn. The Troll really wants Block and one Goblin Sure Hands, Block. And two foulers with Sneaky Git into dirty player. So maybe two Team Re-rolls is all that you want on this team, just pick up the superior skills and you don't really need to have 3 TRR's. You could just postpone that for heavy build.

I was planning on getting the new Starter Box to get these guys and sell the nobles to get the normal Orcs. I just have a couple of question that i would like your opinion: 1. Would you think that it would be bothersome to use the Black Orcs as the big'huns, for the 4 Blitzers and 4 Blockers build in the Orc team, (planning on using the same color scheme, for convenience )? 2. I was planning to have similar teams for casual play at home, what team would you recommend between Elf (Pro or High) or Undead (or Necro) for a newbie intro to the game?

Hey HazelVandice, some Great questions there! 1 - Not at all! I think that's a brilliant Idea, they'll be the right size, and you can even use your Black Orcs from the Orc team as Blitzers 3+4 without any issues!

aaand 2 - Of those two teams I think Undead would give the fairer math with Orcs / Black Orcs. Pro Elves are likely to either outscore if run by an experienced coach, or get murdered if not!! Undead has Bash *and* dash, so will introduce most elements of the game!

Great review, I'm going into a league using black orcs alot of the other teams will he using team's from a previous season so I will end up with inducements alot of the time, I was thinking of going 1 troll 6 orcs and 5 gobbos 2 rr as ill be able to gain extra team training inducements most the time or would people still recommend the 1 troll 5 orcs and 5 gobbos 3 rr build?

Hey Angry Banner!! I think for League the 3RR build is probably "technically correct" as you'll expand to BOB6 quicker than RR3, but the 6 BOB and a Troll roster is the one I've been using almost exclusively and it's *very* fun!! *You'll get BOB6 after 2 games with average winnings, but RR3 will take 3!

Kind of... You have to go 4 Blitzer, 4 Bobs, 2 Linemen and a Goblin to be able to afford 3 RR. Now if you hate/do not want a goblin on your team, you fire him after your first game and either buy a new lineorc with your winnings (if you have enough) or just use a journeyman until after you got an apothecary, then buy the extra Lineorc.

Well the box seems to have 6&6 each of goblins and BOBs! So a 3/3 split on the sprues seems likely, and also perfect!

Does anybody know, if the skill brawler is stackable with pro? When i reroll one both down into a skill, can i use pro to reroll the other roll, then? Because erata just said brawler is not rerollable by a casual teamreroll (because the teamreroll would reroll all the dice, eben the one, which is rerollen by brawler) But pro could avoid this.

I'd be tempted with the troll and black orcs (6) - but drop a goblin and go for dedicated fans. You need the cash for the reroll - and journeymen lineman are no worry as they won't last that long for skill ups - but the big guys hoarding SPP and then a 3rd reroll and some skills? I'm not playing against that team ......

This is just a dumber worse lizard team with a worse big guy. I don't get what is the point of this team. I would have been cooler if they had done a savage orc team with less armor, more speed and frenzy.
