The fact that you can hear that absolute killer fucking bass is so essential to Black Sabbath being probably the mos badass band to ever walk the earth.

Agreed. Most bass is drowned out in music but Black Sabbath put the bass right at the front of all their songs and it’s what makes their music so good !

I asked my ex to guess what year that song was, she replied late 1990's or 2000's. I told her you're off by almost 30 years!! She knows a lot about classic rock and is a big Queen fan. 🎸 But she was way off!!

Paranoid is freakin’ great, but CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE, to me, has always been “THE” Metal Anthem, along with “Symptom of the Universe.” Two of the coolest, badass, head-banging riffs in music, with great solos by Tony, outrageous drumming by Bill, and killer bass and vocals by Geezer & Ozzy. The ultimate Metal Band of all time.

Black Sabbath's music serves as a reminder that true freedom comes from critical thinking and independent thought. They weren't afraid to challenge the status quo and encourage their fans to do the same. In a way, their music is a call to action, urging us to question authority, seek truth, and fight for a more just and equitable world. And by weaving together religious and political themes, they created a powerful and multi-layered message that continues to resonate with people today. They remind us that the fight for freedom and justice is ongoing, and that we all have a role to play in creating a better future.

Lyric! Revolution in their minds - the children start to march Against the world in which they have to live and all the hate that's in their hearts They're tired of being pushed around and told just what to do They'll fight the world until they've won and love comes flowing through Children of tomorrow live in the tears that fall today Will the sun rise up tomorrow bringing peace in any way? Must the world live in the shadow of atomic fear? Can they win the fight for peace or will they disappear? So you children of the world, listen to what I say If you want a better place to live in spread the words today Show the world that love is still alive you must be brave Or you children of today are Children of the Grave, Yeah!

Saw this live, and this piece of music was the best live performance I have ever seen, the bass is even crazier in the venue, it is so deep no home speakers or headphones give you the true depth.

Not much of a setting, but a frequency produced by the string and its tension. The standard is EADG for each string, but he was saying the E was dropped to C sharp which is lower

You can't say it's the better version of COTG I've ever.... Musically, it's perfect but have you ever heard Ozzy 's performances in 1975, 1978, 1998, 2005. Even 2012-2014 were better. The last tour is an error for me.

When I last saw them six years ago, they turned the stage lighting off for a minute or two, and all you heard was Ozzy screaming "Cuckoo" over and over. When the lights turned on again, he had a wide shit eating grin on his face and just said "It's awesome to be absolutely fucking crazy" and giggled. What a fucking showman.

I was 16 when Sabbath 1 was released. Whilst Zep 1 was really an extension of the blues played by brilliant musicians, Sabbath 1 was something else, for me completely new. Then I got to see them live either 71 or 72, truly awesome. The fact they can still sound this good close to 50 years later is simply unbelievable. Especially Ozzie. I was indeed blessed to be around when these guys were starting out, never been bettered in my opinion.
