Ya no kidding!! He can't hit a lot of high notes like he used to I noticed on the Ozzy solo tour, but he still has his lower pitched singing voice which fit in nicely on the Sabbath tour and he was for the most part pretty bang on with most of the Sabbath songs he sang.

Im pretty sure guys that are into playing bass and listen to heavy metal would most probably know who Geezer Butler is, I just think that for a casual heavy metal listener Geezer isnt a well known guy. Even if we are talking about Black Sabbath, Tonny and Ozzy get the most credit all the time, however that heavy, characteristic sound of Black Sabbath very often stems from that heavy bass of GB. Dunno if I made any sense, its just I have a feeling GB doesnt get enough credit...
@berni2905
@berni2905 6 жыл бұрын
Well, if you look at it this way, in general bass players obviously get much less recognition than guitarists or vocalists (maybe with some exceptions). And when it comes to Sabbath - Iommi is the core of the band so i wouldn't expect Bill or Geezer to get more credit than Tonny

It felt weird that it stopped because it was part of my childhood! Growing up that group of songs were on repeat every morning. This song was stuck in my head for months! I don't remember any words but the tone of the song. Then i downloaded an app where you can find a song using your voice. I tried it multiple times for MONTHS but it keeps giving the wrong songs. Not to be a downer, but literally every song you've heard since the 80's has had vocal editing done on it. Ozzy does a fantastic job still, but I promise you that in a studio environment they're squeezing every ounce out of those audio tracks they can, by any means necessary.
@frankjager1647

@Siddharth There are actually live versions of Autotune and various other corrective softwares that you can run live. This includes stuff like level balancing, and subtle pitch correction. I can't say if Ozzy uses this or not, but it definitely exists, and there's always a chance that someone is using it.

This band right here is what its all about. simple yet hard and heavy. a bit of swing to it but yet it sounds like nothing ever heard before. lyrics that means something to your soul, not just some words written on a piece of paper. all the songs have a fantastic meaning. every riff grabs you by the neck. every rythm section makes the earth change orbit. This is not a band you hate, its a band that you love no matter what. you dont have to listen to it but you need to know its history. This band is part of the music history books. THAT is what Black Sabbath is

Tony Iommi always blew me away. I have all my fingers and have a very limited guitar playing ability. Here's a guy that's missing parts of fingers, using prosthetic finger tips and still shredding the hell out of that guitar like it's all natural and producing his own signature sound that no one else in the world can re-produce because the prosthetic finger tips affect the tones of his strings in a different way than flesh and bone.

Mivvy, i don't have a mom anymore, so my room has definitely fallen behind. But here is a word of advice if you are sharing a house. Since your room is already unkept, other people will start wanting to use it as a baggage spot. Tell them to fuck themselves. Realistically! Their baggage is not your problem. You do not owe them. Keep it yourself, as a response, or pre-response to their claims. In limited space, chances are you still may end up having to concede some, but fight for all you can get using responsibility. Make sure they keep knowing it is a favor you did. And favors have prices! In my past, i let all my family walk all over me because they were older and had "seniority" that they would abuse! Being lower on the structure does not mean it is okay to abuse you. Aaannnddd... i am talking a lot more than what you said in your post! But GL to you, and please let me know how that worked out :)
