The Tony Martin era is IMO the best years of Sabbath. Idol, Cross, TYR, Purposes and Forbidden = perfect albums. This Moscow show is great work by Tony, very enjoyable.

neil murrey and cozy powell...without any doubt some of the best hard rock musicians of the 70 but they did the best with national and whitesnake and rainbow rispectively... tony martin is good for a cover band...

i went and listened to ozzy, dio, glenn hughes, ray gillen, more dio and even rob halford and even though they are all great in heir own rights ( i love halford) no one can sing ALL the sabbath repertoire the way tony martin managed it. Tony rules!

i dont really care who is on vocals Tony Martin here he is a great singer and his albums with sabbath where great and different. And as long as Toni Iommi is in the band i will always listen Sabbath is IOMMI. I would like to see a series of Black Sabbath shows with Geezer Iommi Bill Ward or Appice on drums and Martin On vocals live. I would have said cozy powell RIP for drums. that would be cool and they could do a best of Tony Martin Cd and new songs.

Ozzy couldn't write, so he had Butler write the Sabbath lyrics. If you look closer though, Ozzy always gets his bassists to write lyrics for him though. His vocals may work for the early stuff, because the music was built to suit his vocals. I don't think I could imagine Ozzy singing Heaven or Hell or Neon Knights.

I agree mate, nothing wrong with the musicians, particularly Cozy Powell who is a legend but there is only one real member of Sabbath in this clip... Sabbath has had some fantastic 'part timers' but nothing tops the original 4 in my humble opinion.

I think Tony Martin is very underrated, and Tony's years are my favorite. I like Ozzy but mostly for his solo work, and Dio I can't stand with his trying to pull inside every song "fool" word even in paranoid song between parts of song it's son anoying. If Dio would exchange each "fool" for "Satan" he would be more satanic than any black metal band in whole history of metal !

Tony Martin is technically the best vocalist to ever sing with Sabbath. The melody of this song is too simple for Tony, that's the only reason he doesn't sound great on it. He can sing everything else well.

you shouldn't apologize! Dio and Gillan did good during their runs with Sabbath, but they should have sang the song they wrote. Though they were intitled to sing the songs from the earlier days. But the band should have known that Ozzy could only pull off the old Sabbath songs.

Ozzy is NOT great Live, he is great on record, but live (apart from the early 70's perhaps), he has been a joke. Dio, Gillan, Hughes (allthough we saw little of it), Ray Gillen and of course Tony Martin here have all great range live, and adds something to the classics that Ozzy sang on record.
