I really don't know why this era of Black Sabbath doesn't get more attention and respect. Some really good material came out of this period.

Metal was dead. They played in East Canada only. I think maybe Calgary in the West but no other cities really worth for Metal in the West unless you play on radio or you are the trend/flavor of thr month. Montreal is the Las Vegas of Canada sports, entertainment, nightlife and Metal capital. And as always tbe crowd was crazier and bigger there at...2478 exactly for the Cross Purposes tour winter 94. And about 1800 for the Forbidden tour July 95. Motorhead opened both tour and Morbid Angel was part of the Cross Purposes tour. Dio was playing for 200 to 500 hundreds people during that era. Bad era but lot of great albums.

This is definitely awesome, but my all time favorite black sabbath Era is w Dio And Vinny Appice and Geezer Butler. By far man.. Dio and vinny just gave it that power it was missing. And don't get me wrong, I will support and love ANYTHING or any line up that sabbath has as long as they're a band and still kickin... I love everything black sabbath has ever done, but my favorite from all of the sabbath line ups and all the records they have put out has to be the Dio Era man. Hands down.

Ozzy Osbourne why I love Ozzy Osbourne does not have the vocal chops that Tony Martin has listen to the headless Cross listen to tear Ronnie James Dio is Ronnie James Dio the end not Black Sabbath Ronnie James Dio there's only one and only ever will be one but the sound that Black Sabbath created with Tony Martin evokes that dark mystical evilness that nobody else could bring to the table.
