Black Sabbath is the beginning of heavy metal music. The drummer is Bill Ward; one of the best. All the guitarists are incredible. They are Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler. Lead singer is Ozzy Osbourne. Who will go on to have a solo career after his time with Black Sabbath. The band started in England in the late nineteen sixties. You Millie are definitely a rock & roller if you enjoy this music. You look like it.

Millie, I am one of those lucky people. I saw Sabbath in Charleston, WV back in the 1970's. Non-stop rock and roll. Finish one song and go right into the next. NO BREAKS!!!.......... At one point everyone went off stage but Bill. Mr. Ward just kept playing his drum kit. After a while they came back on stage and Rocked our faces off!!! Damn good concert!!!!!

I remember buying that album back in the day. Saw them at the Royal Albert Hall in '72. Almost 51 years ago! 😱 Bill Ward's drumming is incredible. As you say, so much like the studio track, so it just shows there was very little mixing done on that track, if they can perform it the same live.

This is Sabbath's protest song about war and conflict. The drummer is Mr. Bill Ward and he is a beast of a drummer. He beats those drums like they owe him a lot of money. "I am one lucky person times two!" A hell of a show! Super high energy!!! It was back in the 1970's. Rock and Roll... This band started a whole new level of rock and sound in modern rock music. Unfreakin real concert girl.. One of the best EVER for me!!!! Enjoy..... Listen carefully to Geezer on bass. He could be your teacher...... He jumped around so much, I don't know how he could play, but he did! You notice the drummer. That my dear is Mr. Bill Ward. He works his butt off in this song!! When I saw them, they did not stop between songs, They would play the last note and move directly into the next note. no pause! At one point everyone left the stage but Ward. He kept on playing. After a bit, they returned. And continued the show. Bill never stopped!!!!!!! Just unfreakin real...................... One of the best concerts I ever went to!! ENJOY lady.

I never saw OZZY with Black Sabbath until OzzFEST BUT I did see Randy Rhoads last show Thursday March 18th 1982: Knoxville Tn The Knoxville Civic Coliseum: UFO was the opener and one of the greatest shows ever put on! John Allen (called Ronnie to make fun of Ronnie James Dio at the time was Black Sabbath’ replacement for Ozzy) handed out water and towels to Ozzy between songs and was later hung during Goodbye to Romance. At the end Ozzy was on a giant mechanical Hand throwing meat 🍖 🥩 into the audience! Got lucky my tour shirt was tucked into my jacket! CRIED LIKE A BABY the following morning when we all heard Randy was killed in a plane crash😢😢😢😭😭😭 THE MEMORIES LINGER TO THIS DAY! Hard to believe 40 years ago this past March! RIP RANDY YOU’LLNEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

I got to see Sabbath with Blue Oyster Cult at the Capital Center in Largo , Maryland I believe it was the summer/fall of 1980 or 81... Between BSCs song Godzilla and Sabbath's energy whipping the 18000 + crowd into a frenzy for 3 straight hours, the amount of LSD circulating ( was 1980s man!) , that concert was EPIC! I was awake for 2 days partying during that show ...we were crazy AF partiers back then

Millie, You young lady have selected a great Sabbath song. Note in this video, the drummer Bill Ward beats those drums like they owe him money. Tony the lead guitar man had accident and loss his finger tips on his right hand. The hand he frets the guitar with. Way back in the 1970's I had the honor of seeing Sabbath perform. It was non-stop. They would finish one song and launch directly in ti the next one. I am one lucky person as mentioned above because I saw them. Rocking Roll big time!!!!

Amazing fact: Tony Iommi got hurt at the factory he worked at the day he was gonna quit cutting two of his fingertips on his right hand off..Fearing he wouldn't ever play guitar again he made artificial fingertips & you see & hear how it it turned out.. You noticed and commented about the drummer, Mr. Bill Ward. He beats those drums like they owe him money. The man does not stop!!!! And the lead guitar man Tony had an injury to his fingers, but he can play the crap out of his guitar... I think they were in their early 20's at the time of this video. They created and NEW sound.. I find it interesting that Ozzie these days has a hard time putting a sentence together. But he can sing like a bird!!!!! The bass man is Geezer... Take care and stay safe!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also the reunion concert when the first got back together for their "1 time only" show (That didn't last long. the did a whole tour later). Saw them w/ Dio too. I did miss the early days before Ozzy "left" the band, but saw his solo act countless times (well, 8 or so times...) including the debacle w/ Iron Maiden. That was not Sharon's (& Ozzy's partly) finest hours. Too bad. They lost a lot of fans that day.

Ahahah, of course. Black Sabbath is a most iconic band for metalheads today (me too...) That performance is soo brilliant, that drummer Ward, I think he's the precursor to the character "The Animal" in The Muppet Show, I'm not kidding... kzbin.info/www/bejne/aXK9q2yKiM-Nea8&ab_channel=ABC

Bill Ward kills this, his drum breaks are fantastic. Others may disagree, but I think he proves he equals his fellow Brummie, Led Zeppelin's John Bonham, for power and invention. This is an epic performance, the only issue is the lyrics were still a bit fluid and clumsy at this point, I prefer the album version for those. You can see the energy but the sound quality is so lacking in any bass that the meat of the drums is lost and Geezers amazing bass guitar work is barely audible. Still, we're lucky there is this archive footage of the band at their peak, it's just the technology at the time doesn't capture it at it's best.

For me, Bill Ward is alone with John Bonham as the best live, hard-rock drummers of ALL TIME. Impressed MillieM that you called his playing out right at the beginning - & I did see them live, and got to hang out with them after the show on my college campus around 1968 or 69
