+conkerlive101 Although the parrots is something true I think. They used them to know where a pirate is when falling in water, because his parrot was flying over him, that's what I read.

parrots and the X mark on treasure maps were introduced by Robert Lewis Stevenson, in his novel "Treasure Island" in which Black Sails is inspired (Black Saill roles before the book). REad it... Nice Spoilers :p

i never played any part of AC but after i watched black sails i just bought AC Black Flag and i fuckin lovin it. its just super funny to see characters from Black Sails in AC Black Flag like Captain Rackham, Captain Vane and Captain Hornigold. :D
