Sorry I missed the premiere this morning, I have the captain cardinal one and... some other one I can't remember. It's sitting in a box. The TFA trailer really got me hyped. But as the saying goes: sometimes the have is not as good as the want.

He eventually stopped and then I took the name more serious I kinda like to be called it bc it makes me feel different!

Thx for the great comparison. How does the black series helmet compare to the anovos one just with regard to size? It does seem as if the black series is a little smaller or narrower? Or are they nearly the same? Keep up the great work!

I would say they are about as identical in scale as one could hope for when coming from two different companies. I think you can display them next to one another and everyone would assume they are from there same maker, with the the exception of the panel gaps on the front of the Hasbro one. I think for most people that is definitely the case! I think they offer a great value and am so pleased they’ve continued and expanded the line.

Hey thanks for watching! You may want to check out the changes that were made between The Force Awakens design and The Last Jedi / The Rise of Skywalker. I think you'll find the Black Series helmet is modeled after the latter designs.

@@StarWarsCollected Yeah, well. I live in Sweden and the shipping + tax get ridicolously high from other countries. Here you have to pay about 400 in the second hand market, no joke. So that's why I'll be fine with the hasbro that is about 250 here. Mad prices..

Where did you find the bloody hand print to put on it

Painted it by hand. I used some reference images from The Prop Shop and a couple others. It does change though, from model to model, so I just did my best and used combinations of red/yellow, red, and dark red to do my best blood impression.

Disagree. The redesign feels like more of a progression from the original trilogy helmets compared to ones on TFA. E7 ones do look good though.

Hmm, I hadn't thought that I would. I think it'll just be a matter of laying down the masking tape, maybe sanding that area to give the paint a little something extra to stick to, and then shooting it with flat black. I'm sure you can do it Bernard!!

Because of the outward appearance, I prefer the Anovos version as well, however Anovos never did mass produce a TLJ/TROS version.

Why do new products have so many scratches… my black series Mando helmet has a production scratch, and it’s very obvious as the helmet is shiny… this first order stormtrooper one seems have even worst quality control…

It’s disappointing for sure but my guess is it just has to do with how quickly they are made and packages combined with them trying to use finishes that are as close as possible to screen used. Even more expensive options aren’t immune to issues, but it definitely not what you want to see when pulling it out of the box

I would think if you're gonna use it for cosplay, you would want the helmet that's lighter in weight.

Probably right Daniel. I try to view my collection through the idea of the 1:1 props being artifacts, so a heavier one makes it feel a bit more real. Of course I’m sure plastoid is very light weight, so maybe the lighter the better!

@@daniel_sc1024 Well… the black series is a fantastic place to start, check out GameStop to see what’s currently available. Beyond that, it’s eBay and Etsy mostly for me. There are a lot of great builders on Facebook too, but you’re not going to find the great deals there. If there’s a certain helmet you might be interested in, I’d be happy to be on the lookout for you!

I don't know man I think you might be too critical. I mean think about it. You want them to be close to be perfect but they weren't perfect at all in the movies. They had battle damage at times, scratches and I'm sure they're dents. Oh the gap issue at the bottom is because it pops off. Under it is the hidden battery pack.
