Yup, The Klyntar (Symbiotes) they actually are healers, or in there mind they are going to planets that need help and healing them. That’s how it was in the comics until this and I like what the show did. Then adding the “taking the characteristics of the person it attaches to” took it even further and made it better. Cuz now some of the Symbiotes are good cuz they go onto good people!! So I love that change

Previously to the 90's show, the Symbiote: - Didn't come to Earth thanks to Astronauts or a meteorite, but was found during the Secret Wars in Battleworld, in another universe. - Didn't change the host's personality for the worst, and didn't try to overtake said host. - Spider-Man wasn't the original host of the Symbiote. - The Symbiote and Venom didn't show up in the early superhero life of Spider-Man at all. And the iconic Raimi upside-down shot was from here too, just like a lot of stuff became head-cannon in the Spider-Man mythos, thanks to this show.

True, but Wasn’t the symbiote literally controlling peter in his sleep in the comics and eventually planning to take over peter fully as well in the 80s?, so yeah your right but not really at the same time. The 90s cartoon was mostly based off of stuff that were being added to symbiote mythos way before. It was just expanded upon for a lot longer but the symbiote still became an mischievous alien life form in the comics before the spider-man tas venom saga came on to tv.

I mean after Peter had Reed Richards run tests he realized the suit was trying to bond with him and broke up with it quickly. Then it escaped the Four Freedom Plazas and eventually found its way to Eddie Brock, who hates Spider-Man after he stopped the Sin Eater (a mass shooter). Eddie was pissed because someone told him they were sin eater and did a tell all. After looking the fool and losing his career he hated Spider-Man enough for the symbiote to essentially hear him

Because Wolverine pulled up, didn't recognize Spider-Man in the black suit and whipped out trivia only seasoned comic readers knew. As a result I got curious and looked up how Spidey got the black suit, which is how I learned he got it during the secret wars. Which had me tripping because I thought he got it in the 90s since that's when Todd McFarlene came along and created Venom.

I love how in depth they went into them now. Now they don’t just make everyone aggressive, There's a whole faction for bad symbiotes, and a whole faction for good symbiotes. The symbiote Empire and the Agents of the Cosmos, so there are thousands of symbiotes committed to just doing good. Good example is there is a comic where Scream, Agony & Lasher all tried convincing and stopping there host from killing. It would be fire if we got a Netflix series about them!!

This is the first story that used the Symbiote as an analogy for addiction. When it was first created, it was supposed to be a way to help the comic artists who found Spider-Man's webbing to be a pain to draw. But this just created another problem: Every time he put his arm in front of himself, the shading was a real pain to distinguish the arm from the rest of the suit. They didn't have a metaphor for the suit yet...but it still gets into whack stuff. In the comics, it undresses Peter while he's sleeping, and puppets his body around New York in his sleep...😬 and Peter wakes up very confused and anxious.
