Thank you for spending the time (and focus) on putting such valuable info out here for people to soak up and put to use. Nice and easy to take in because it wasn't crammed full of big words all in single sentences. Nicely done!

It is a pleasure and glad you enjoy the channel. I probably won't ever get massive subs but I am already happy with the following. This channel is for the most part to be educational and helpful to reptile keepers.

Interesting video 👍🏻- do you think these guys could be seen in the Laingsberg area ?
@reptilegarden3 жыл бұрын
It is a bit out of range I would think or bordering where some specimens have been found but not impossible. We also have some that catch lifts with cars from time to time.

Do you do any cooling process before pairing them up
@reptilegarden4 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve, Yes they do go through a cooling period although not as cool as I would like as my snake park has a lot of heating. I get them down to about 18 to 20 deg c at times. It is often not that low on most days.

Why is it a problem for the babies to come all the way out of the egg once it is cut? You mentioned something about absorbing the yoke. Are you able to elaborate please?
@reptilegarden4 жыл бұрын
Yes, they have a yoke and they should stay in for a few more hours just like the others that have slit. They umbilical cord will then fall off. If they come out with the yoke it can get dirty and might cause some issues or they may not absorb all the yoke.

What do you do to make them breed? Cool them or is it enough just to put them together?
@reptilegarden4 жыл бұрын
Very good question! Something I didn't cover all to well in the video. I did cool them for a good 2 to 3 months but my park only gets down to around 18 deg c due to all the other heating. The male stays at the bottom of the rack so he does get cooler to around the 18 deg c. They can go as low as 15 deg c.

What is the name of the shoes you are wearing in the video?
@reptilegarden4 жыл бұрын
Haha they are fake Saloman shoes. Bought online thinking it was a deal. Wore through them in 3 months. Haven't seen the legit ones with that colour but best buy the real deal.
