GREAT INFORMATION FOR MANY APPLICATIONS NOT JUST REPTILES THANKS FOR DOING THIS VIDEO MANY PEOPLE CAN LEARN FROM THIS VIDEO IE I AM TRYING TO HEAT A SMALL FURNACE ROOM IN A VERY POORLY INSULATED DIRT BASEMENT 1500 WATTS IS THE STANDARD FOR EVERY TYPE OF HEATER INCLUDING PROJECTOR/ REFLECTIVE HEATERS ( MOST OF THE WORLD CALLS THEM REFLECTIVE HEATERS ) SO LEARNING ABOUT 150 TO 250 WATT BULBS WOULD LIKELY WORK FOR ME BECAUSE 24 HOURS MULTIPLIED BY 1500 WATTS IS OVER $90.00 CAD PER MONTH EACH HEATER.

Hi, sorry for the delay. I hope you have come right. We haven't done a video on it as yet. The wiring principal is same but different ports. I don't have a manual with me so I can't say exactly not to calibrate etc.

Hi there. I’ve heard that you “should” not breed pumpkin head with the chrome head Sumatrans. Is this accurate?

I haven't hear this before but j only have pumpkin and black heads. Always wanted true chrome and have a holdback that is potential. Why what have you hear is the issue?

If left with the mother do they stay around her after they hatch? and i wonder if she is looking for her babies? seeing as king cobras make nests do they at all mother the hatchlings?
@reptilegarden4 ай бұрын
They babies will be around for a day or a few most likely to absorb the yoke in their bellies as the first meal and head start. They will move off in their own time. Mom's get over it pretty quickly as we remove the nest and all eggs. Same with pythons, they will then start eating sooner. They will be protective over that area.

@reptilegarden10 ай бұрын
Honestly, I don't know their weights and don't weigh my animals unless I have concerns with weight loss or gain. They are around 2,7 to 3m long. Good sized adults for Chinese Banded as they don't get much larger on average. I have seen guys with animals much heftier than mine. My female is looking nice and thick for this season as I gave her a break. So this season we might pair again.

Respect to you ma dude. As a snake catcher myself. I don't think I'll ever have enough courage to be able to do what you did in this vid. Snakes creep my out and yet O catch them when called to do so. Lol I keep hoping one day I'll get over it but it's the stories I hear about my fellow snake catchers and what happens when they get bitten thst makes it difficult.
@reptilegarden10 ай бұрын
Yeah, it's all about respecting these animals for sure. Don't ever loos that. I am a cautious handler and don't play game when I could. I am not looking for views to be wreckless. I didn't take my eyes or here for even a second. I just felt was I was doing an watched her. Snakes don't bite for no reason and this is how people get a way with a lot. Having said that they can surprise you. I have done this numerous times with multiple females. You might get to a point where you feel you are getting complacent, not! Be safe and work gently.

Bjorn, do you perhaps know the probe depth for Sumatrans? I recently acquired a juvenile pair at the last SOS Expo, but I want to confirm sexes. I've tried popping but it's not working. They are both 60-70cm long, I'm guessing yearlings. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Jacques.

what are the benefits of switching them over to rats and not snakes?
@reptilegarden Жыл бұрын
Here is South Africa it is not as easy to find feeder snakes. Road kill, stillborn etc are about it. I don't like the idea of feeding snake that have died as you never know from what. We also don't have the option of invassive snakes like in Florida with the Burmese pythons etc. Freezing doesn't kill everything. Then I dont like to kill snakes to feed to anothers and it is illegal to feed live in my country. It is a convenience feeding rats and chicken. Kings are doing great, and my Chinese Banded pair are breeding well. The kings in this video are getting big now and look amazing.
