Black Swan May Not be Real but There's a Reason She is in Penacony (Honkai: Star Rail Lore)

So basically Black Swan's whole character is where she is collects the cards on where she carries memories, though taking it in a form of what her mother can do, thus she has no interest in most dreams in Penacony whether they are precious, but only cares about hidden memories in the façade of a paradise, So basically her main goal is to get those memories by crystallizing it for eternity? Now I can see why she is in Penacony, Because she is the narrator for most of Pyraid Celestia, So hopefully she becomes relevant outside of Penacony.

The Garden of Recollection seems really important to the lore, especially since it deals with memories and remembering the past. So I think she'll definitely appear and remain relevant outside of Penacony, even when the quests are over, not to worry!

Yeah, i think she just wants to collect the memory of the "truth" behind Penacony for the Garden of Recollection. She is also interested in the Astral Express crew and she said getting the memories of the crew is just her personal need, not specifically for GoR. It's really interesting that she looks like she admires the Nameless. You can see it in the Myriad Celestia trailer, where she really emphasized on Akivili and her DMs with the Trailblazer that looks like she is somewhat fangirling the Nameless faction.

About Penacony characters, I think Misha is the most intriguing one. Id like to think that he is the Watchmaker’s direct escendant. When he was introduced, we can see him given the Express ticket right? And “Mikhail” that was often spoken in the Tb quest might be the passenger of the Express that stayed in Penacony and the Watchmaker, because the passanger that drops off is a mechanic. Misha might be his descendant, because he receives a watch by his father thats like an keepsake. And Clockie being very close with him might warrants that too. And I theorize by the end of the story, Misha will follow us through because we might see the fall of Penacony with it returns to its previous scale with the Dreamscape become much more dangerous to the point it might affect the whole planet. In our first Penacony’s Tb quest, Misha was being foreshadowed by a lot. With Acheron’s being said an Emanator, which I like to think belongs to IX or Terminus, because she was described by Aventurine with ‘belongs to death and finality’ with her memories often lost so she wouldnt tell others their true end that might be near, but with her being a bit benevolent might stray a bit from the uncaringness of IX. But it might be my theory, so take it with agrain of salt, but im very sure of this theory that Misha will come with us in the end. And Penacony story quest might have ‘real’ character death, with it jot being in a dreamscape by turning into a bubble. Its a real death, means the end

Also, I noticed that only we can "see" Misha. When we first entered the hotel, March didn't even acknowledge him when we were talking to him which was strange since March usually notices people we talk to and also the part where we rescued him and Acheron, Acheron and Firefly didn't even notice Misha and the gang seemed focused on Acheron instead of both her and Misha. There's definitely something going on with Misha...

This is one of the reasons why i really like star rail, they can make a character with absurd and out of this world backstory. But we as a player can think it's plausible because the background of this game is just too fast and huge that might as well we will got a multiverse at this point

What's very interesting is that in latest Honkai story they added term of spiritual form. Basicaly one character that ascended past the living has power to connect whole star system despite the huge distance. Protagonist of chapter 39-42 gets send to the planet on edge of solar system in a spiritual form where she can manifest as physical object. Interact with things and beat up space god

Oh... That's so like her, I can't analyze the story because there are so many holes. But I like to analyze the character's personality when I got to know them better... And I really can't wait for your theories about Penacony and Family... I think Family needs special attention at this time (after completing the main story and world quest) 😔 Every character really has a "role" even Misha, I want to know him better 😔

The point of Sparkle's quest afterwards is to hint that they are alive.

And from fighting the boss, we know that there is a resurection mechanic, and if Shaoji is anything like other Honkai Impact devs, then we can safely say that he implemented part of the lore into SOD's mechanics, in other words 2 instant kills (Robin and Firefly) and possible resurrection as well.

I have a dumb copium theory that they are still alive. The boss we fought, tge Death meme thing whatever it has a move that specified "deals a killing blow on your character" while it does kills our characters (reduces their HP to zero) it then takes our character away and imprisons them, after we rescue them they are able to continue fighting.

So the reason March 7th's past isn't tied to the Garden of Recollection is because she has a physical body. So far there is not a single member of the GoR that we've met that has a visible body and it could be a characteristic of them.

march wasnt a memokeeper, but shes not completely untied from the Garden. she probably has ties to the remembrance, and the garden is helping the remembrance lock the access of march's past, seeing from the quest.

Memokeepers owned Penacony before the arrival of the IPC, they bought it from the Garden of Recollection and made it a prison planet, then later the IPC abandoned it due to a stellaron corrosion and the prisoners of Penacony formed a faction that we know as the family, they follow Xipe the Harmony, so it's not surprising for Memokeepers visiting Penacony for memories

I'll be honest. I don't enjoy the story in HSR. HSR story is too wild, illogical, too fantasy. Even we can say it gives impression of no limit, no laws, even pass time and space, feels like doesn't make sense that it become less interesting. Immortality? Memoria without physical body? Consciousness transferring. LOL When the story is too fantasy, it becomes less interesting. Long-life species vs short-life species. How come short-life species can become smarter than long-life species when long-life species have so much much more time to study, with all the technology. Our fight seems so weak, ancient combat, but the lore suggest we have all the technology to solve problems, much faster and efficient. Most people/players might not so critical about the story, but I pay attention to the details. In Genshin Impact, it is said that "Teyvat has its own laws", and lore wise, this simple thing makes the game lore and story perfect. There is logic there. But when you see how the story of HSR seems doesn't have any limit, no laws, no need of logics, conflit of logics in many aspects, doesn't make sense that it just makes the story less interesting. I enjoy the combat system, the art and design, and some of the puzzle. But it doesn't totally engage me because its story is too fantasy.
