I lived in Portland during culinary school the winter of '94. One day we did a two or so hour loop before school. And then it snowed four inches that night. We did the same exact ride first thing in the morning and it took exactly twice as long in the snow. Good fun though any day.

Very pretty with the snow. But so strange looking at trees planted in straight rows. Guessing some kind of forestry thing to produce the maximum mature tree density?

Doesn't snow as much as you think in Scotland, all Scottish ski resorts having a quiet nod and a cry
@NoBrakes23 Жыл бұрын
Doesn't snow that much in Scotland? Nonsense, Ali. Forza Horizon 4 taught me that it snows every 4 weeks in and around Edinburgh.

I really do not get why you are torn on batteries. While not quite as green as a pure bike, they are now 98% recyclable. All of the metals can and are able to be recycled. Only the plastics used in the cells are waste, and even that is changing. So don’t let the eco side of batteries put you off. It can only be a good thing getting people,d out of cars and on to e-bikes.

Lithium is a limited resource and a wonder medication, using it for making batteries is a nonsense...
@Distinctly.Average Жыл бұрын
@@LawrenceMacMacster Lithium is far less limited a resource than you think, and 100% recyclable. The oil required to make tyres, grips etc will run out long before lithium. Most wasted lithium is now in vapes, mobile phones etc. Most cells in bike batteries use an ever decreasing amount of Lithium, .002% or less. And once again, it can all be recovered and re-used.
