The video game BLACK is a game that features more colors than just black, such as brown, green, and grey, so if you are looking for a game that is just a black screen with the occasional gunshot sound then I'm afraid you'll have to look somewhere else.

What I love in this game is if u cleared higher difficult campaign, you'll unlocked Silver Weapon (which means every gun u hold will has 999 Ammo and will not reduced after u reload it) in the lower difficult campaign. But damn at that time I can't clear Black Ops Difficult cuz I always missed one or two of the intel (whether blueprint or laptop) Still, I love this game.

My brother left this game with the Xbox he gave my sister and I. When he moved to California he took this game with him to play on his 360. I was crushed because I never had time to really figure it out. When he moved back I asked him out of curiosity if he still had the game. He did not. I just ordered it online. It has been about 15 years since I've laid my hands and eyes on this game. I cannot wait until it comes.

This game is still my gold standard for how guns should sound in games. Every single one sounds beefy and powerful and nothing like the peashooters we get in some other games. Edit: This comment is way more divisive than I thought so I should've been more specific. Im not talking about realism or quality, I'm talking fun and over the top action (which is what Black is). If I want realistic ill go play Arma or Insurgency or something, but that's not what we play games like Black for (a ridiculous over the top action movie experience).

Long story short, the project wasn't successful and did so little in a very long time, EA didn't like its slow development and cancelled the project. Here is the undramatic truth...James Bond games and Battlefield were WAY better and much more popular shooters in this day and for years before. This was another random shooter out of many that wasn't great or amazing in any way. It also definitely was not popular. In 5th grade, only one of my friends had it, he said it was too hard. This was the common consensus and part of the reason why it obtained this weird legendary status amongst gamers who remember the cover of the game, remember hearing about the difficulty, but really only played it once, if that. So stop idolizing this mediocre shooter from the mid 2000s. This game isn't "incredible". You didn't play it for hundreds of hours. You probably rented it once and never even owned it.

You can tell they wanted high visibility for those flying rounds. I say it was worth it considering games that look like this were still a novelty. Yeah, you wouldn't normally want them pumping out in your face, but for our visual appreciation on a PS2 game? P damn good.

My grandfather and I played this when I was around 6 and I remember sitting there watching him play then I would come through and basically try to replicate what I saw. It honestly still holds up. My biggest issue with the game was the blur on the reload and you can get around that but hitting the top button right after you press reload. (Y or Triangle)

Here is the undramatic truth...James Bond games and Battlefield were WAY more popular shooters in this day and for years before.

@@MrMegaMetroid There isn't really any copyright issue: the intellectual property issues with using firearms are mostly trademark issues related to their names, with the only ones related to designs, IIRC, being issues of HK having a trademarked logo which included the outline of an MP5 and Glock having one with a Glock 17, which some games companies worried might mean they could argue trademark infringement for depicting those weapons in games. Mostly it's just because a lot of FPS devs are into Airsoft, and aren't aware of which the signs are that something is an airsoft gun rather than a real one.

One of my favorite guilty pleasures of gaming. LOVED the bridge level. It's so campy, goofy, over-the-top, and everything else taken to a level that's so fun. I always found it weird (yet, fun) though, that it technically takes only 3-4 AK rounds to take out an enemy soldier, but you can spend an entire 60 round mag on just one due to the "hit" animation/detection cooling down
