Congratulations on Your First Widow! I'm on # 5 and # 6 Widows. A 56" PCH III and a 62" 2 piece PL II [all black glass]. They are worth every penny. Save the box and packing! In case you ever want to send it back to Black Widow for anything.

I’ve been dreaming of a Widow for years! But I always find myself refraining for some reason. Probably because of their price point. But I do believe that come this spring, I’m just going to finally bite the bullet and just do it. After all, you only live once, right?

I remember in high school in the late 90’s seeing an advertisement in Bowhunter magazine for an all black black widow that looked just like that. I’ve wanted one ever since. I finally got into trad in my late 30’s and have been loving it. Still haven’t got the black widow, the black hunter will have to do for now lol!

Don't be afraid to look into a used black widow. You can find a good quality widow for $6-700.

I have a G10/carbon BW……. It is amazing. Next step is to get something down with it. Have an older psa which still shoots great and a big jim thunder child, all at the same draw weight . Thunder child is quieter than the BW being a long bow but doesn’t carry the power of a recurve. Overall happy with all trad bows i have but feel better about beating up a carbon/G10 bow in the high-country.

I like the durability of the serving on the ends of the string for brush and sticks getting caught between the limb and the string for hunting. It’s a very bombproof hunting string

Matt, I just stumbled onto your video and wished I hadn't. As a recurve shooter of over 60 years, I was horrified in what you did to the Cadilac of recurve bows. You turned it into a Christmas Tree with all those brass inserts and added unnecessary weight. The quiver mounts are ok, but the rest really ruined the bows appearance. Finally, those bows are made to be shot off the shelf! Look forward to your next video when you have brass inserts in your earlobes.
