Andrew M Funny enough, I had a Pro before this truck. I feel like this one is a bit louder and more aggressive especially in low RPMs. The Pro does sound the same as this when you really get on it and it drops a gear but I think this has a better rumble in the 1-3k RPMs

Andrew M if you want a nice low deep rumble at low rpms I’d say widow maker is the way to go.

As your driving, are you going through the gears manually in an auto? Like starting from low gear to 2 to 3?

Yessir. The truck shifts a little too early for my taste with the bigger tires since it’s not regeared. I like to ride each gear a little bit higher into the rpm’s to get the truck moving.

Do you have a CAI? Have you felt a loss or gain of power? Any change in MPG? Do you still have all 4 cats on your exhaust system?

I do not have a CAI. I have a loss in power, but I think that’s mainly to do with the tires. I use a pedal commander to combat that. I didn’t drive the truck stock long enough to compare MPG, but I’m getting about 13-14 right now. I do still have all 4 kitties on the exhaust system.

Long answer short, yes they do make one for you. Long answer long, every trucks exhaust pipes are a certain diameter 2.5”, 3”, etc. Black widow makes their muffles with different diameter entrances and exits. So find out what your exhaust pipe diameter is (I’m pretty sure it’s 2.5” all the way back) and then buy the corresponding muffler. They clip out your old muffler and weld the new one in where they cut the old one out.

Robert Mackay Yes it is. Nothing done to the engine. No aftermarket intakes or headers, just stock. The only things I have done to the truck are covered in the build breakdown video.

It’s unfortunately as aggressive as it can get with a simple muffler replacement 😪. To get anymore aggressive you’d have to do a full straight pipe. I’ve heard Tacoma’s with headers, y pipes and mufflers and it still sounds relativity the same. V6 problems over here.
